A Day-in-The-Life with 1L Eve Le:
"I arrived on campus around 9:30 am, and it was already bustling. At Berkeley, you have to take advantage of the gorgeous library. After a productive morning, it’s time to head to civil procedure, where we learned about personal jurisdiction from the lovable Oppenheimer.

After lunch and a training, it’s contracts with my mod! Your mod is basically like homeroom—they’re the people you have every class with! So I see them quite often, and it helps make walking around the law school feel more familiar and comfortable.

Generally, at this point, I’d go home and dive into my readings, but today we have a special coffee chat with a litigation attorney for Keker Van Nest & Peters! This came about because Berkeley’s Center for Law and Technology held a networking workshop night for us, literally the second week of school. The support you get while being at Berkeley Law is truly endless.

After that, I commuted home, read for a little while, ate dinner, and headed to bed. Thanks for spending the day with me! Hope to see you again soon :)"

Hi, my name is Eve—I’m currently a 1L at Berkeley Law, and I’m bringing y’all along with me to see what a day in the life of a 1L is really like!

My favorite time of the day is Berkeley's lunch hour, when there are no classes. This is when lots of org meetings, visiting speakers, and lunch and learns are held.

One of the many things I love about Berkeley is the incredible pro bono culture of the school. From your first day, you’re offered so many opportunities to engage with your community. Today, we have our legal ethics training to participate in our SLPS, our student-initiated legal services projects. You can be involved in direct client service and legal research under licensed attorneys, giving you hands-on experience as early as your first semester of law school!

This semester, I’m in the California Asylum Representation Clinic, but my friends are involved in the Name in Likeness Clinic, the Startup Law Initiative, and the Youth Advocacy Project.

Happy President’s Day, to our amazing President, Eve “ONEi” Le, and Vice President, Meagan “Bibble” Nguyen, for their amazing leadership and commitment to the sisterhood. The passion and dedication that they have put into Sigmas have not gone unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for everything they do. Last month, our sisters traveled to New York City for Sigma Phi Omega's 2025 mid-year convention. We had an amazing time exploring New York and getting to know our lovely sister chapters!

𐙚⋆.˚ What is the term “Big and Little” 𐙚⋆.˚

A big is an older member that guides and supports her little through everything. She is a best friend, role model, and mentor all in one.

A little is a younger member who gets guidance from her big and learns the traditions of the sorority. She is loved, spoiled, and supported!

Big little relationships are forever cherished as they are each other’s support systems. Every member gets a big to support and guide them through their journey, not only within the sorority but also in life.

*ೃ༄ Sigmas Active Retreat *ೃ༄

This past weekend our sisters reunited and had an active house retreat to start off the new semester! It’s never a dull moment with these girls and we had so much fun playing sisterhood games, revealing mentors and mentees, singing karaoke, and simply spending time with one another. We made many heartfelt memories this past weekend, and can’t wait to make many more this upcoming spring! We are so excited to see what this semester has in store for us 🤍 #whygospo
