💃 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐎𝐍 & 𝐎𝐅𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐄

Dancers put immense stress on their bodies and staying peak-ready requires targeted strength, not just repetition.

We’re proud to train the incredible dancers at @highdefinitiondance , giving them the physical edge to leap higher, hold longer, and stay injury-free all season.

Today’s focus:
✅Engine Building: Boosting stamina so performance quality stays high from start to finish.
✅Core & Joint Stability: Securing balance for sharper turns and controlled landings.
✅Targeted Cross-Training: Balancing muscle demand to keep joints healthy under heavy volume.

Artistry is powered by strength. When you build a resilient body, the performance speaks for itself.

💡 Stronger dancers. Fewer injuries. Better performance.

ADVANCED DANCER PILATES 🔥

This movement takes a plank and adds contralateral loading, lifting one arm and the opposite leg while keeping the rest of the body as still and controlled as possible.

The challenge isn’t just getting the arm and leg off the floor. The real work is resisting the urge to rotate, shift, or collapse as your base of support becomes smaller. Your deep core has to stabilize the spine and pelvis while your obliques work to resist rotation. At the same time, the supporting shoulder and arm are working hard to maintain scapular stability, while the glutes and posterior chain help lift and control the extended leg.

For dancers, this type of Pilates work is SO important. We constantly ask our bodies to balance, turn, jump, extend, and transition through positions while staying controlled. Building strength through exercises like this helps dancers learn how to stabilize the pelvis, connect the upper and lower body, and maintain alignment even when the body is moving in different directions.

Pilates isn’t just about flexibility or having a strong core. It’s about learning how to create strength without losing mobility, maintain control through instability, and understand how your entire body works together.

The more advanced the movement becomes, the more important the Pilates foundations become: breath, alignment, precision, stability, control, and mind-muscle connection.

Control first. Complexity second. 🧘‍♀️🔥

A little moment shared with us by these wonderful dancers @itsvioletmae and makayla.mmills25 from @highdefinitiondance after our Contemporary Partnering class. ✨

This summer has been so special for us, having the opportunity to share different classes, ideas, and ways of moving with dancers from different studios.

Thank you for trusting us, exploring with us, and bringing our work to life. 🤍
