Smooth dancehall vibes 🍯 inspired by steps from @highqsquad, @l.a.s_dancers, @theextremepushazofficial, @geniusdance, @xqlusiv_dancecrew, @overload_skankaz_official_page

Trust the process 💫

It’s not easy for me, as an introvert who doesn’t like being the center of attention, to present myself alone in front of the camera to dance one of my creation.

The first time I did this with MDS two years ago, I was so stressed and uncomfortable. I presented a female dancehall number because it was the only thing I could imagine being able to do.

This time, I wanted to challenge myself to explore another dancehall vibe, present something a little more connected to my emotions and less focused on performance. Surprisingly, I was less stressed and I was able to enjoy the moment. This made me realize how much I’ve grown in 2 years. I still have moments of doubt and sometimes I feel not good enough,
but I’m now more able to let go and enjoy.

It’s crazy because just a few weeks ago, I was crying after a class because I felt so bad about myself, and I wondered what was the point in continuing dancing if it was sometimes so painful. But I dried my tears and kept pushing... and unexpectedly few weeks later, I’m proud of myself. Proof that sometimes in life when it’s difficult, you have to keep going and trust that the best is yet to come.

I’m so grateful for dance (and Dancehall 🇯🇲) in my life, because it makes me grow in so many ways, and for the wonderful @_mds_world community that supports me through it all with such kindness 🙏🥺
