Two unforgettable years at @longymusic
So grateful for the music, the growth, the late nights, the lessons, and most importantly - the people I met along the way.
Forever thankful to coaches, professors, staff members and to my friends who made this journey special. 🎓✨

Special thanks for the wonderful photos capturing these memories so beautifully. 📸 @zensui.arw @reuelpiano

I did it again, I just graduated from Longy School of Music! 🎓✨
I developed my craft, improved my artistry, and got closer to finding my voice as an artist... but, most of all, I met wonderful musicians and human beings. Together, we played (a lot) and shared many moments, laughs, and revival coffees.
I feel blessed, happy, and proud to end this wonderful chapter of my life, and I am truly excited about what comes next... and, what you are all thinking: no more degrees hahaha... for now. 😂

I personally want to thank Longy for always welcoming and believing in me, but especially for making me feel part of this wonderful and unique family.
I want to thank all the beautiful people I met, who made this journey a special one.
Last but not least, a special thank you goes to my family, including also my lovely half and her family, for always supporting me. 💙

🎓I made it! The niche Monique.X.Zhang just graduated and earned the Master Degree of Jazz & Contemporary Music!!!
I took my tiny hippo as a special guest in the commencement!
🥳I’m very proud to be the only jazz pianist specialized in trad, vintage, stride style and jazz & Jazz/Swing Era at the college history of Longy School of Music.
🦛My sweet, carefree tiny hippo met and greeted everyone at the commencement and he said he loved you all!!

@stride_caravan My world of vintage jazz & whimsies with tiny hippo, Tuggy the tugboat tuba, the laughing seagull, a 20s cartoonish stride piano & tuba encore, a vintage groovy ghost train etc. will keep going. Stay tuned! 🎹🦛🐦🚢📯⏳🎭🎸🚂

About 2 months ago, I finished my M.M. in Piano at @longymusic!!! 🎓🎹

The past 2 years have been one heck of a rollercoaster, and I would never have made it were it not for the support of my family, studio teacher and friends who stuck by my side every step of the way. You all have my heartfelt respect and thanks! 🥹❤️

What’s next? I’ll be staying for my GPD - and after that? Stay tuned! 🎶🎵

Thank you to @rulynn.yu & @earthlukas for taking some of the photos! 🙏
