POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Sometimes, you have to look back to realise just how much you’ve experienced along the way. 🏈🖤

When I think about my years in American football, I don’t just see photographs. I see emotions, passion, unforgettable moments and encounters that have shaped me. Moments that lasted only seconds on the field but became lasting memories through my camera.

My journey as a GFL team photographer began with the Hildesheim Invaders. That was the beginning of a journey that opened the door to a world full of incredible experiences.

I also had the opportunity to photograph the New Yorker Lions through media accreditation before returning to a team photographer role with the Braunschweig Lions last year.

Three experiences, different perspectives and countless moments to be grateful for.

To all the players, teams and people I’ve met along the way who placed their trust in me: thank you. Thank you for the shared experiences, the unforgettable moments and the stories I was able to tell through my camera. You have shaped a part of my journey, and I will never forget that.

In sports, just as in life, things don’t always turn out the way we once imagined. Paths change, new perspectives emerge, and sometimes we don’t even know where the next journey will take us.

But perhaps we don’t always need to know.

I’m grateful for everything I’ve experienced so far, proud of the moments I’ve been able to capture, and excited for all the stories still waiting to be told.

Some chapters become memories. Others may still be unfolding. 📸

The final 2026 GFL Power Index is set.

Dresden finishes where it ended the season, at #1. The Monarchs went 15-0, won the German Bowl and close with a perfect 100 PWR.

Potsdam finishes second at 96 after another run to the championship game, with Schwäbisch Hall third at 89 after a 13-1 season.

The next group was much tighter. Pforzheim finishes #4 at 65, just ahead of Hildesheim at 64 and Ravensburg at 63. Düsseldorf and Munich round out the top eight.

Further down, Regensburg finishes ninth and leads the bottom half at 37. Braunschweig, Kiel and Berlin follow, while Saarland, Allgäu and winless Straubing close the final table.

These are the final AFR Power Index ratings for the full 2026 season, including the playoffs.

Had to sit on this one for a moment.. but here we are! Purposely I’m saying ‘successfully’ closed the chapter because yeah sure we all know now, the season didn’t end the way we planned on it to, but truthfully? Success in a professional sense is obviously high on the priority list and as long as the fight was on, at the top. But then once the whistle determines the end of the game and with that loss also the end of the season.. you pause and look around you. And there reveals the personal success itself. Our family has grown by so many so incredible people this year, we’ve spent hours with so many new faces as if we’d know eachother a lifetime, collected new knowledge, new input from different minds, expanding our horizon with every story shared, made so many absolutely incredible memories and we grew internally into old roles with new levels of depth while growing another year closer to the organization, the fans @dod_dukes_of_downs_83 , the team. It’s always been hard to explain the relationship and bond we share with the @hildesheiminvaders but it’s now getting to the point of impossible. Our story started here, if it wasn’t for the invaders we would’ve never met eachother, now our kids are growing up on those grounds it just magical. So that’s why; this season counts as a whole success for us! All the love goes out to all the people that make this possible!!!! Nothing goes unnoticed for us. We do want to especially shoutout @autohaushermanngmbh for being at great support for all of our adventures!! P.S Mia’s dream is her own Vlog account (she hasn’t watched a single second of YouTube ever in her life) Xoxo the N-team #gfl #family #football #thenteam #couple

For hope, I look to the future. For joy, I look to the past. 8th GFL season in the 📖 and I couldn't be more grateful to have spent it in Lower Saxony. Hildesheim, thank you. Thank you for instilling the passion for the game that left briefly. To my teammates, coaches, and even my opponents: thank you! The steps may slow but the love only deepens! Big decisions coming up and I couldn't be more excited! 🫡
