Looking after a newborn and pair of five year olds is tough. So we’ve imported some helpers all the way from Canada to share the load.

It’s a long trip from Canada and it turns out it’s also a long trip to the airport from Byron Bay. Both definitely worth it 👌🏻

That was an emotional reunion 😭 it’s been almost a year since the twins have seen their Grandma & Poppy

And lord knows how badly I need them right now. Pregnancy and postpartum makes me so homesick so having them here for a couple weeks is exactly what I needed to pick me up 🥹

A very realistic morning in my life at the moment and while it’s not pretty it’s exactly where I want to be and I am simultaneously so grateful and also soooooo overwhelmed haha

A cautionary tale from the daughter/sister/auntie that lives abroad. so many goodbyes & they never get easier…

Of course I wouldn’t change it because I found my soul mate in @harrybunton and I love our incredible life together and it’s exactly where I’m meant to be

But when people ask how I landed an Aussie guy and got to go live the dream over there, I make sure to warn them it’s not all beaches and avocados!

I always feel a little emo the day we leave Canada, not knowing when we will be back especially. But very grateful to have spent 4 months here with family and friends. What a blessing it is to have so many people to miss 🫶🏽

Can you believe this place exists in Ontario?! I feel like we’ve just spent the weekend in the English countryside 🪻

Very grateful to spoil my sisters and Mom with an all-inclusive experience at @steannesspa to celebrate wedding a new sister to the bunch 🫶🏽

We booked the Nook which I highly recommend, if coming with a group! And definitely come hungry because the chef here is incredible.

Leaving today feeling completely refreshed, full and connected with my sisters and Mom.

We came here every summer in the 90’s growing up near Muskoka so it was very fun to be here 25 years later with my own kiddos!

I was very happy to see that it was still very affordable for young families as well. My parents paid for everyone as a little gift and we are so grateful they had this idea, such a fun day!

Heavy on the last one - none of this would be possible if my parents didn’t fight for their marriage and family all these years. Getting through all the hardships life threw at them to make this perfect summer possible for their kids and grandkids

A reminder what really matters at the end (or middle 😂) of your life, what do you want it to look like? Who do you want around you? Do you want to be able to look over at that one person that you’ve created an incredible life and family with and have a million memories together?

My dad always says my Mom is the fabric of his life, weaved through every moment and memory and I am so grateful they stuck it out so we could have this summer 🥹

I think as a society we’ve lost sight of what really matters chasing money, success, power. we often forget that a healthy and strong family unit is the key to actual happiness. Don’t let those pursuits make you lose sight of what really matters 🫶🏽
