Growing up in the Valley, @hillstonebiltmore has always been one of my favorites restaurants in Phoenix🤍

The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is always a vibe, and it’s one of those places you can always count on.

My favorites are the pressed sushi, spinach & artichoke dip, French dip, ribs and of course a Hillstone Crispy Martini 🍸

If you’re new to the Valley, add this one to your list!

Saturday afternoon feels like the right time to drop a few spots worth considering before you head out tonight.

Some I loved, some were just okay, and a few definitely missed the mark. Either way, here’s the current list.

I’ll be updating this every month as I try more places around the Valley.

Best place to celebrate in Phoenix? Hillstone on Camelback.🥂

They make their hot fudge from scratch, and that tells you everything about how they do things here. Birthday, promotion, closing day, this is our spot!

It started with, “Wait… how do you even eat this thing?” 😂 So naturally, we turned dinner into a full artichoke-eating tutorial… only to realize me and @meredithjohnsen_realestate don’t even eat them the same way. 😂

But first… who has NEVER eaten a whole artichoke or would have no idea what to do if one was put in front of you?! 👀😂

And for those who do know… we need to settle this — TOP teeth or BOTTOM teeth?! 👀

And apparently the part you scrape off is called the “flesh,” not the “meat”… but I’m sorry, I will never be saying the word “flesh” at a dinner table 🧐

🏔️ Hillstone

Dark, and upscale business casual spot. Waiters and hostesses were very accommodating and inviting, making us feel comfortable. Now for real part of this review, the pressed sushi was a weird concept and it tasted like a flavor explosion of all the elements and it looked pretty. The spinach artichoke dip came with 2 other dips (sour cream, and salsa) and we messed that dip up, it was so cheesy and gooey goodness, definitely would get again. Now for the main course, the French Dip, this thing was a beast, meat was salted perfectly, bread was soft and pillowy, and the au jus brought everything together with a umami punch. It’s actually so good, just go for the French Dip. We were too full for dessert so will have to go back and see!
