🍽️ NEW SERIES LAUNCH! 🍽️ TCE IN THE KITCHEN | Local Goods: 6 Brands We’re Reaching for on Repeat! Our pantry (and fridge!) is having a moment. These 6 brands, some born right here in Connecticut, others found at our favorite local spots, have officially earned permanent shelf space. Consider this your edit. 1. 🌶️ SEÑOR LECHUGA Salsa Macha - @senorlechugahotsauce is made by Westport transplants, found at @double_l_market. This topper is going on everything from protein to, yup, ice cream. Obsessed over by us and editors at Goop and GQ. A brand with an origin story right here in our backyard. 2. 🍯 HILLTOP APIARY Honey - A father-son beekeeping operation out of Simsbury. @hilltopapiaries is pure Connecticut gold in every jar. Think blueberry, chocolate and strawberry varieties. 3. 🫒 CUCINA CIPOLETTI Pasta, Salts and Olive Oil - Litchfield’s Jenny and Freddie Cipoletti sourcing small-batch, heirloom pasta from a UNESCO World Heritage pastificio in Tuscany. Supper is simply elevated by @cucinacipoletti. We spotted their products at our favorite Litchfield County shop @miltonmarketct. 4. 🍏 URBAN REMEDY @ Whole Foods - Met this brand at an event in Darien and immediately became a devotee. Certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free grab-and-go salads, juices and health shots. @urbanremedy is the first brand of this kind we keep going back to, over and over. 5. 🥗 NAN’S ORIGINAL RECIPES Dressing - Born in Fairfield, CT. A Connecticut grandmother’s recipe, seed oil-free before it was cool, launched November 2025. We’ve tried three in the @nans.foods lineup and cannot stop pouring on everything from salad to pizza. 6. 🍇 VIVO Lambrusco Vinegar - Conceived in Connecticut, born in Italy. A pandemic kitchen accident that changed everything. Good enough to drink. @tastevivo is a flavor Impossible to forget and used in kitchens like @alliumeatery in Westport and on shelves at @alpenpantry @fairfieldgreenwichcheeseco @auxdelicesfoods @back40mercantile and @il.pastaficio.

Last week at their professional development meeting, staff at @ehsunsetridge were able to experience the joys of farm to school with a local charcuterie lesson taught by ShopRite and Boars Head. Teachers not only learned how to set up a charcuterie board, but also how farm to school initiatives at the secondary level have positively benefited the health behaviors of students and how they can get involved. Swipe to see the boards staff created using products such as roasted chickpeas from @bienasnacks from Allston MA, bagel chips from @stacys from Randolph MA, whipped honey from @hilltopapiaries apiaries in Simsbury CT, smoked mozzarella from @liuzzicheese in North Haven, and cheddar cheese from @cabotcreamery from VT! Funding for this project was provided by the CT Grown for CT Kids grant.
