POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Living with Giants🐘🇮🇳🌿

Across Majuli, elephants and people move in a delicate balance. Herds follow ancient routes while communities adapt to their gentle, powerful neighbours.

In our new @fablefund short film, I join Elephant Family and Aaranyak to explore coexistence, from volunteer rapid response units safeguarding elephants to lemon bio‑fences that protect crops and livelihoods.

This is a story of resilience, adaptation, and the relationships shaping the future of Majuli.

The best fables are the ones we create together. 🌍✨

Our first London Climate Action Week brought together conservationists, scientists, founders, filmmakers, creatives and changemakers for a series of @fablefund gatherings, all united by one shared vision: a future where people and nature thrive together.

There were tears. There was laughter. Old friends reunited. New friendships formed. Above all, genuine connection.

A huge thank you to every speaker, partner and guest who joined us. Here’s to building more fables together, and turning stories into conservation action.

Meet the Fablemakers 🎙️

At The Fable Fund, a Fablemaker is someone who doesn’t just tell stories, they help create the stories they want to see in the world.

This London Climate Action Week, we brought together an inspiring room of Fablemakers hosted by our founder @mehta_a.

From funding the future with @janegoodalluk and @elephantfamily featuring @rosemary_reed_ and @hils_thomas, to exploring the power of impact storytelling with @danowild, @annieemoir and @mark_davenport.

And finally, we were honoured to welcome @nemonte.nenquimo and the @amazonfrontlines team, sharing their fight to protect the Amazon and hearing the beautiful live music from @alex.lucitante.

The room was filled with charity leaders, filmmakers, creators and conservationists proving that stories truly can change the world.

Huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to @mareidalondon for hosting us so beautifully.

Conservation starts with communities 🐘🌿

Hilary of @elephantfamily shares how the front line of wildlife protection involves tackling biodiversity loss and poverty at the same time.

Because when people and nature thrive together, everyone wins. ✨

Introducing Hilary ♻️💧

Head of Development for @elephantfamily and a passionate advocate for practical conservation solutions.

In this clip, @hils_thomas shares with @mehta_a how something as simple as providing energy-efficient water heaters can create a ripple effect — saving communities valuable time and reducing the need for firewood.

The result? Less deforestation, less disruption to wildlife habitats, and more harmony between people and nature. 🌿✨

It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most impactful conservation solutions are also the most practical.

A royal evening for conservation and art! 🐾🎨

So proud to support @elephantfamily this year with the @fablefund. It was an honor attending their Wonders of the Wild event, celebrating the Big Egg Hunt for wildlife conservation.

My highlight? Meeting the King and Queen and sharing our love for big cats! 🐯

For me, painting and drawing are meditative experiences that nourish my wellbeing like nothing else. The process is as meaningful as the result.

This series of limited edition watercolour paintings were commissioned by Cunard, as bespoke gifts for their 2024 World Voyage VIPs.

My first piece, entitled, 'Paradise', pays homage to the natural world, depicting lush rain forests of Sri Lanka, birds of paradise & tropical hibiscus of Mauritius, voyaging through Mediterranean haciendas & abundant orange orchards of Spain.

It was an absolute pleasure to create and a testament to my wonderful clients, who unwaveringly celebrate Art in its purest form.

Thank you always! #cunardline

SO…. I completely missed my connecting train…

In the time it took to re-direct to meet my friend we had a hit single :)

The TRAINLINE App saved the day!

(EVEN AI thought to include you :)

For the Geeks… Here’s what I prompted Claude.AI :

“Write a song about two friends, Tom and Andy who are scheduled to meet up at castle Cary at 12:26pm.

Andy got the wrong train and ended up in Bristol temple meads. Tom thinks Andy is an idiot but luckily Andy had the Trainline app on his phone so booked a train to westbury. It was scheduled to leave at platform 15 but last minute changes to 7.

Andy made it to the train and is counting down the minutes until he’ll see Tom.”

I then used Suno to make the track with a few attempts, then Video leap to make the amazing edit :)

Uploaded to Bandcamp IF it randomly became U.K’s #1 we could get some $$$ to Dog shelters :)

Here’s the amazing lyrics :

:: The Great Train Mix-Up :

Tom's waiting at Castle Cary,
Clock ticking, quarter past noon
Andy's nowhere to be seen,
His arrival should be soon

Oh, Andy, where did you go?
Bristol's not where you should be
Tom's shaking his head in disbelief
What a sight to see

Andy's at Temple Meads station
Panic rising in his chest
He pulls out his trusty phone
The Trainline app to the rescue

Platform 15, then to 7
Last-minute changes, what a mess
But Andy's on board at last
Counting down till he sees his friend

Oh, Andy, you're on your way
Westbury bound, can't be late
Tom's waiting, he thinks you're mad
But soon you'll meet, and all's okay

Friends reunited, quite a tale
Of trains and apps and timing fail
Tom and Andy, there they stand
Castle Cary, journey's end

If we do receive ANY purchases it will go to Soi Dog foundation
