POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In march of 2019 i had the good fortune of doing a detailed interview 🎙️with @sanjeevsanyalauthor @ssanyal1970 - Principal Economic Advisor Govt. of India 🇮🇳 for his book “India In The Age Of Ideas-Select writings 2006-2018”. 📚You can find it on all podcast services & youtube by typing “Sanjeev Sanyal+Hrishi K” 🎤

I found #sanjeev to be incredibly smart, sharp, with a keen sense of history and the economy 👍

So when i heard that @nikkhiladvani was adapting a series based on “Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom” for @primevideoin i was elated 😊

I knew that no other current indian film maker would be able to do as much justice to leap from the text and take it further “where no man has gone before” 😁. @emmayentertainment s last blockbuster “freedom at midnight” is a testament to #advani s continued vision

You would think this is an unlikely bunch of actors to play freedom fighters - but think again ….ive seen a journalists preview 📺

@bhuvan.bam22 as Rash Behari Bose

@rohitsaraf as Sachindra Nath Sanyal

@pratibha_ranta as Pratibha Lahiri

@gurfatehpirzada as Bagha Jatin

Are stellar

and the action & song picturisation are grand 💪🏾🎶

Watch on Sept 11 when it drops & tell me what you think 🎞️

Meanwhile my full interview with #nikkhil & the cast of ‘the revolutionaries’ is out on the @feverfmofficial youtube channel 🫶

Check that out too!

@bhuvan.bam22 first ever radio interview 📻 was done by me. a serious musician sporting long hair & an acoustic guitar. And he never ever fails to acknowledge that through all his stardom ✨🤗infact each time we meet… his hugs towards me are getting warmer and warmer to coincide with his performances which are getting better & better 🎭

Not since @tripti_dimri came on the scene has there been as much excitement about a young leading lady talent. ✨And to @pratibha_ranta credit she’s notching up a filmography with some amazing film makers 👏Pratibha as Pratibha is one of the true highlights of “the revolutionaries” on @primevideo

What do i say about @nikkhiladvani that I haven’t said before over the decades of knowing him 🌠a jewel in the crown of indian film making!

There’s a certain kind of electricity that comes from finally putting something you’ve poured your heart into, out into the world. But this day reminded me that it’s the people you share that moment with make all the difference.

So many of you travelled from different parts of the country just to be there as we launched the trailer, and I don’t take that love or effort lightly. The excitement of finally sharing it was ours, but having all of you in that room cheering, reacting and celebrating with us… turned it into something far bigger.

As we move closer to the finish line, I can’t wait for you to step into the world of The Revolutionaries with us. And If the launch was even a glimpse of the love and energy waiting for us on the other side of release, then I truly believe we have something special ahead.

Until then, I’m holding on to it. ♥️

Missed @onlyemmay @madhoknikhil 🤗

The Revolutionaries, Sept 11th on @primevideoin 💣 Trailer out now!!

Love days like this.. catching up with friends, especially the ones you’ve seen grow over the years. Watching their ambitious projects they’ve poured their hearts into, and as the first looks roll out, you can actually see their dreams turning into reality.
Big shout out to the PR team of @primevideoin who put in insane amount of work for this huge showcase!
Biggest shout out to @karanjohar for being the BEST HOST ⭐️
So many incredible shows and movies to look forward to 🍿
To some friends I’ve seen grow.. I’m so, so proud of each one of you. More power to all of you.

A reunion that has been long overdue and honestly, so worth the wait. About 9 years ago, I had a twisted ankle and before we did our interview, she asked me very politely and gently, “are you okay?” THAT, in a nutshell, is @bhumisatishpednekkar for you. Compassionate, empathetic and socially driven. An artist whose advocacy is beautifully embedded in her mainstream work 🫶🏾

A robust conversation with #bhumipednekar about #Daldal on @primevideoin, activism and much more. Coming soon on @filmeshilmy! 🎥

My teachers used to tell my mum I talked too much and shared too much. Turns out, that was just my way of gaining experience for this job. 💌

I know every time I pitch something, @aineenizamiahmedi sends a prayer for my mental health 🙂‍↕️
