Meet the next 8! Part 2 of our intro to the 24 makers debuting at Upcycle’s Unlisted Arts Market on Nov. 8. We asked each creative to show us where the making happens: their studios, setups, and works in progress. Swipe to meet them, and catch up on Part 1 if you missed it. These artists and crafters were selected for Upcycle Arts’ First Timer’s Program. Over four months of workshops and one-on-one mentorship from six established Charlotte makers (@dunlap_love, @colorthology, @signedjoycelyn, @heygoodneighbor, @ellenda.tea.co, Natasha Brunton), they’ve learned how to price, display, and market their work, and next month they sell it for the first time. MEET TEAM WILDCATS! I am so lucky to be a mentor in the @upcycleartsclt First Timers Market Cohort. I have been walking along side these amazing makers as they prepare for their very first market on November 8th at @themintmuseum ✨️ I got to see some of what they have been making (and OMG is is gooooooood), dreaming up ideas, how they are thinking through booth design, and chatting how to price their art. I am loving getting to be a small part of the beginning of their journey! I wish I had a group like this when I started out. To bounce ideas off of, talk business things, get inspired by. I am really lucky to have collected those people and this community of vendors and friends along the way! We truly need community as makers and small businesses! I hope you will follow my friends who are prepping to introduce their craft on November 8th! And I would LOVE to see you at the market! I will be there with a booth as well along with my friends! Dominique @dcbcraftworks Avi @cobalt.craftworks Jessa @hinasso.official Destiny (who we missed last night!) @destinyscottage ALSO...my daughter Avenell (@avenell.designs.clothing) will be there for her market debut as well!!!!!!! Our first market together!! More on my mom pride later!
