At the end of the night I was speaking to one of the poets and they said “Thank you for making us feel seen”. I deffo could’ve cried because the weekend I had had?! 🥲
•
I was doubting myself while I had a gig at soho house on Saturday and then a poetry night with @vibezwithus the next day 😭🤍 listennnnnnn when the words say our HEARTS ARE DECEITFUL (!!!) don’t be skipping over that because boyyy 🥲
•
I want to remind you that if you are in a space you feel you don’t deserve to be in, it is God that orders your steps not you.
•
I say this all the time, but I say it because it’s true. The creatives sharing their art make my job not even feel like work. I can laugh, cry and connect with such incredible people that are in the same space as me at the same time. Hosting for YOU LOT?? an honour 🥺🌟
•
I want to say thank you to every single poet that graced the stage last night, I’m looking forward to see and be present in the art you’ll be making 💐💐 💐
•
The poems were truly beautiful, impactful and eye opening. I will deffo be sharing some snippets soon… but for now it’s just for me and those that were in the room.
•

As creatives we know how tekky the job market can be, how the ‘who you know’ becomes more important than we may have realised.
•
Checklist:

✅ Work on your skill
✅ Present your skill
✅ TALK to people & organisations about what you do.
•
YES, God does sometimes hand us opportunities BUT do not let that stop YOU from searching and applying.
•
Trust God and MOVE, SPEAK, DO. You’re trusting the same God in the process and the result 🫶🏾
•
PSA 📣📣📣 I AM HOSTING ANOTHER POETRY NIGHT WITH @vibezwithus ,shoutout to @hindzzyworld for trusting me to host these beautiful nights, it has been so much fun 💗
•
Have a wonderful rest as we start a new week! ✨
