@jconcepts Team applications are up!

Who thinks they should do a crawlers team for the 2027 season?

I have a posse that will jump at the opportunity to represent the #1 comp tire of choice.

I’ve tried this line from the left, from the right… long trucks, short trucks, even the scx30s, my buddy’s truck that’s set up even to the same wheelbase as this one and it wasn’t making it across from either side.

THEN I build and test out this Proto24 as a shafty set up now and it walks it from the left or the right, with EASE! I rolled once out of the 5 or so times I did the line, then clipped it. Gotta get a better clip someday showing how technical and difficult this line actually is. I’m happy with the @resconcepts.us Proto24, little tuning left to do. These @pnchmnky.ltd wheels are absolutely wonderful. Also.. first time running the @hiper_esc and its as good as everyone says. Definitely shaves off some size compared to any others, the light is BRIGHT, super smooth with 0 tuning right out the package and it’s just doing what it’s supposed to! The quality is unmatched.

Here’s the next Reaper X10 build,

I’ve been working on a few different ESC trays and battery-mounting options to give everyone more flexibility with their builds.

One thing I’ve noticed with 1/10-scale crawlers is that sliders can be a huge hang-up when navigating technical terrain. So, here’s my attempt at eliminating them altogether! 😎

The goal is to keep everything tucked up and out of the way to improve clearance without sacrificing functionality. Don’t worry—sliders will still be an option for those who want them! If you’re running a servo over the axle, you’ll want to keep the sliders for additional mounting options.

BUILD BREAKDOWN:
• Krawler RC Reaper X10 (1/10 scale prototype)
• NSDRC RS700 V2 Servo
• Hyper Apex ESC
• Vanquish F10 Straight Axles
• InTheWorks RC links (purchased straight and bent in-house)
• Spec 1.9 Wheels
• JConcepts 4.25 Landmines
• Injora Dual Spring Shocks (80mm front / 90mm rear)
• Prototype Tire Inserts
• Ovonic 850mAh 3s battery (for size comparison🔋)

I’m still experimenting with different configurations and making adjustments as I go. That’s what these builds are all about: testing ideas, finding what works, and continuing to improve the platform!

What do you guys think about ditching the sliders on a 1/10-scale crawler? And what are your thoughts on battery placement?🤔💭

Buggin out 🪳🪳🪳
@minifabsrc
Titanium buggy is definitely a work of art 🔥🤙🏼.
With the aggressive stance,and on 1.0 / 63mm tires 🔥 this rig is definitely predictable and has fun on all types of lines 🙌🏼🦾.

I think we need another buggy build??? 🫪😆.
Something about a titanium buggy makes the driving experience so much better 🫡🔪.
