So proud of this ensemble! A whole new group of musicians (-A.H.), the first Setnor JCM concert of the fall semester, a successful night of big band music by The Morton Schiff Jazz Ensemble in Shemin Auditorium! Two clips from Bria Skonberg’s “Let’s Go All In” arranged by Dr. Theresa Chen featuring vocalist Marlene Rodriguez and tenor saxophonist Joe King! Thanks to all who came out to our show and watched on the live stream! 🍊

Thank you Avonlea, Grant, and Asher for working with me in getting vocals on “Something to Say”, an instrumental I created eight months ago. Avonlea top-lined the song, improved core melodic lines and wrote all the lyrics. Grant was our sponsor and allowed us to work in Belfer Studio as first years. He did a lot of the recording work in Protools which allowed us to finish in only a few sessions. Asher was our A2 and helped me organize the sessions before Spring Break. We finished up about two weeks ago and I am starting to wrap up vocal mixing in FL Studio. Hope to get this out soon!
