STYLE & CULTURE | INSIDE TY STEPHANO’S CHINATOWN GRAND OPENING

Brooklyn-born fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist @tystephano opened the doors to his new atelier and shop at 44 Eldridge Street in Chinatown, NYC, kicking off NYFW with a stylish downtown crowd.

Known for his avant-garde, artisanal approach, Stephano began sewing at just nine years old before taking his work to the streets of New York and eventually working internationally within the luxury fashion world.

The new Chinatown space brings his world under one roof — part atelier, part shop, and home to pieces from his extensive archive. Opening night brought together creatives and stylish faces from across New York’s fashion scene.

A new chapter for Ty Stephano on Eldridge Street.

@limifeu_official New York residency launched with a @mermaidhair collaboration. (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o)))♡

Always amazed by Limi’s approach and hard work. Limi fell in love with fashion exactly 30 years ago here in New York… so I’m genuinely happy to see her where it all started. Full circle moment, right?

The event was a nice time. I showed up with a blackberry pie for my friends (that I brought from Canada and that I had to fight to keep enough slices for them). Everyone was happy and passionate. Yay!

Masahiro was in a hurry when I asked him for the photo. He designs jewellery for teeth, so it’s definitely worth checking out his Instagram page! #monochrome #williamsburgbrooklyn #people #streetphotography
