We’re back, live and in the flesh! @elloro.one and @urban_resistance_to_fascism are back, but this time with a fully live line up. This star studded cast will cover the basis of Hip Hop, Punk and Hyper Pop, with some healthy cross pollination. The night will run from 18:30-22:00 on 22/11/2026 @cafekino with all profits going to support The Community of Squatted Prosfygika. The event will follow a PWYC model with a £5 minimum on Headfirst, but with no one turned away OTD due to lack of funds. The Community of Squatted Prosfygika is a self organised community in Athens, Greece, home to over 400 people spread across 8 historic 20th century housing blocks. The neighbourhood derives its name from the Greek word for “refugee” and has been a safe-haven for displaced peoples since the 1930s. Its residents collectivised in 2012, creating an Assembly and starting work to retake their neighbourhood from the organised crime that had begun to plague it in the few years prior. The last year has been crucial for the community which fought off government gentrification plans, largely thanks to a long hunger strike by residents Aristotelis Chantzis and Suzon Doppagne. Now it faces renewed threats of eviction. International support is vital to ensure the safety and continuation of the community which is why we are raising funds and consciousness around Prosfygika with What’s It To You. No matter the day, no matter the venue, no matter the format, we’re always: Anti-Imperialist Anti-Fascist Anti-Capitalist Anti-Hetero-normative Patriarchy Love and Solidarity!

Continuing from my previous post. These are the photos I took of the band after we were asked by security to leave the car park. Abandonning my original location idea I had planned, we went to take photos in front of these shutter doors. I have taken photos of these shutter doors a few times over the past 10 years of living in Bristol. This is one of my favourite areas to take photos.  On a side note I have recently learned the meaning of the word concertina which means folding, like how these doors are designed. Standing in the road to take photos, at rush hour, near the exit of a city centre car park, I would not recommend.  It was a bit scary when a car suddenly drove up onto the curb and wound down their window. I am glad the passenger leaned out the window and said "i love you guys!" ... It was nice of them to stop by, even while the cars behind beeped them to hurry up. It was friendly and all ok. I am grateful for the opportunity to photograph my friends in the liminal spaces i become obsessed with. Thank you Emilia, AJ, Oana and Rat for always encouraging my ideas and allowing me to take great photos of our adventures on tour, in life, and photoshoots. We are going to Rotterdam, Charleroi and Paris this week. Wow! Then we will be back in the UK for Halloween shows in Bristol, London and Brighton. See the poster in the last slide for the information. AJ made the poster with my photos.

More stunning scenes from last month’s @routes_radicals presents Give ‘Em The Boot at @signaturebrewe8, London’s newest inclusive and accessible punk rock cabaret party 🩷🖤 Big up @photoswotitook for capturing the day in all its glory 😘 Been looking back on these gorgeous pics, full of ridiculously talented performers and an amazing, ever-growing community who have come to the last two events, and I feel so grateful for all the love, support and enthusiasm shown 🙏 This week, @blacklivesinmusic published the REMEL Report (Race Equality in Music Event Licensing). The report reveals evidence from across the industry that Black and South Asian-led events face disproportionately high levels of scrutiny, restrictions and cancellations compared to other events. These barriers also come at a significant cost to the economy, with the report estimating that between £127 million and £141 million in live music spending is lost each year. It literally makes financial sense to put on a show like this, but I definitely feel those challenges myself. I stopped putting on events for a long time because of discrimination. Things haven’t changed but it felt like a necessity to start again! It generally feels hard trying to exist right now as a dark-skinned, queer, neurodivergent woman. But it’s all I know, and if anything, it just spurs me on. Having a place where like-minded people can come together has been a powerful thing. While I like to be in the background I’m so fortunate to have my fabulous hosts @londonsmarrieddragduo front of house, all these inspiring artists to showcase and an engaging crowd who bring their full selves to the show. For me, it’s an honour to support people to thrive 🙏 So many people have told me, on and off stage, that they’ve never had their needs met at a gig before and what a difference that’s made. Hearing that is so affirming. I just hope I can keep this going for as long as possible because spaces like this feel like unicorns. They matter so much, especially when you hear about reports like that and see the growing popularity of far-right politics. Long live queer, melanated, disabled, working-class and neurodivergent joy 🩷🖤

How was this a month ago?! More official pics and video coming, but for now here’s some BTS from the side of the stage - thanks to @angevee who was stage managing on the day 🙌 And also check out views from the sound desk via @churchofnoiseldn - who was making sure all the acts sounded great throughout the event 🖤🩷 Big thank you again to everyone who showed up - on and off stage! The love was truly felt! Please excuse how monotonous I sound in the last clip… I was tired and prefer to be behind the camera! And roll on the next one! I’ve kinda dreamed up my next line up but I’d love to hear who you’d like to see next!! Particularly I’m interested to hear from attendees! As bands, I got all your DMs already 🤣 Keep supporting marginalised talent whether it’s at GETB or elsewhere! These performers need to be heard and seen more than ever during these especially difficult times for our siblings from minority backgrounds. The anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street is today and this piece of history feels even more poignant than ever! Much love and see you in the pit for the next one! X This event was supported by @aceagrams funding 🙏
