The wife, friends, family, and I had a great time at Hitman's Bar here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We watched the 2026 Royal Rumble while we had drinks and some great food. We also took a tour of the bar to see all the memorabilia from WWE, Stampede Wrestling, and the Hart Family. If you ever come to Calgary, or if you live here, and you are a wrestling fan, stop by! You may even see Bret Hart there!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! 🍁

Today, we give thanks that 34 years ago on October 12, 1992 in Saskatchewan, Saskatoon 🇨🇦; Bret Hart won his first World Wrestling Federation Championship at a WWF Superstars television taping.

Included are clips of Bret’s entrance, the finish of the match, post match celebration, the photo of the advertising of the event at Hitman’s Bar in Calgary; along with a couple of photos documenting Bret’s first title reign.

This was the first Holy $h!t moment I can remember having as a young Bret Hart fan. I remember staying up until 1:30 am Saturday morning to tune into WWF Superstars; and the show opened with the news of this title change. 🤯

This match was actually not shown in its entirety on WWF TV, but was featured on the Coliseum Video VHS release of Smack ‘Em Whack ‘Em which was released in the Spring of 1993.

Happy Bret Hart 1st WWF Championship Win Day to all who celebrate!

This Saturday, @hitmansbar is hosting a special event, @brethitmanhart will be talking in depth about his classic match against his brother Owen at WrestleMania X.

Growing up, this was always one of my favorite matches. It told such an amazing story. To celebrate the match and the event I created this one of one custom bust of Bret and Owen. I’m excited they have agreed to have it on display Saturday.

As always, it’s an honor to work with Hitman’s Bar.

And a special thanks to @chair.shot for putting together the amazing video using footage from the match. He absolutely killed it.
