Defense!!!

Always the best lessons with Allie! Working on footwork, fielding the ball off the inside of her foot & head/eyes staying behind the ball.

+ Coach Ricks with the ladder work👊

⚾🔥 Celebrate This Kid! 🔥⚾

What a weekend at the in Pigeon Forge!

🏆 In the semifinal game, he took the mound and delivered a complete 6-inning performance, striking out 8 batters and leading his team to a big win.

💣 Then in the championship game, he came through again with an inside-the-park home run, helping fuel his team’s run to the title game.

🥈 His team finished as Runner-Up, but the effort, toughness, and all-around performance he showed all weekend deserve recognition.

Keep grinding. Keep developing. Keep getting 1% Better Every Day. His training facility @nxt1up_baseballperformance

Underestimated then. Underrated now. Still winning.

I wish more freshman ballplayers knew that the work you do in the cage today translates to the field the next day. #baseball #nxt1up #hittingwithricks

Zoey we see you 3RBI’s. I told you two weeks ago, you would have a chance to be 1% Better if you kept putting in the work & didn’t leave it up to chance. #softball #nxt1up #270made #hittingwithricks #nxt1uptop10

First home run of the season versus Larue County tonight. Huge congrats @Zoey Rogers, well deserved. More to come because you keep grinding. #softball #hittingwithricks

Millikin University Softball players putting in the work in the cages before heading over to Elizabethtown Sports Park.

No crowd.
No announcements.
Just the sound of softballs popping off the bat and players locked in on their craft.

These are the moments most people never see the quiet grind, the extra reps, the focus before the lights and the games begin.

Dreams aren’t built during the game.
They’re built in the cages when nobody is watching.

Next stop: Elizabethtown Sports Park. 🥎🔥 @millikinu University

This Is Where Power Begins

Power doesn’t start with the swing.

It starts before the swing ever happens.

The load and separation position is where hitters create balance, tension, and direction. When a hitter gets into a strong position like this, everything after becomes easier:

✔ Better barrel path
✔ More consistent contact
✔ Real power that shows up in games

Too many young players just swing and hope.

At NXT 1UP Baseball Performance, we teach hitters how to build the position first so power can happen naturally.

One rep.
One adjustment.
One athlete getting 1% better every day.

Use your BIG MUSCLES!
That’s what I’ve been telling Trey for weeks.
Today he finally got it. Watch this swing
That power came from:
LEGS (loading the back hip)
TORSO (rotating violently)
BACK (pulling the shoulders through)
NOT from his arms. NOT from his hands.
Those just deliver the bat.
Trey 9 years old.
Tell me size matters. I’ll show you THIS swing.
