"Our journey has been full of ups and downs. No relationship is perfect and over the period we have learned to accept our imperfections and accept it and embrace them. We have always tried to spend quality time with each other, and our focus has always been on creating more memories through trips, night outings, long drives, and family time. We both are working professionals and we also take care of our 20-month-old son at the same time without any support, so it is natural that things get stressful at times. If we see that there are situations when one of us tends to give up, then we immediately become a supporting rock for the other. One of the things which have worked for us is transparent communication and no use of foul language during arguments. Also, we allow the other person to vent out when the anger sets in, and when things are settled after a few hours we talk it out together and try to reach a resolution to that problematic situation. Ishita always was an avid learner and post marriage she has completed her MBA in finance and bachelor's in law. Balancing work and education with family can be so time-consuming and draining. So, I try to take care of all household chores and she gets that time to focus on work and studies. Also, we make sure to stay connected with each other for the entire day through phone calls and messages, and at night, we have 10-15 power talks where we discuss our day's major happenings and share our views around it. We have made a pact that posts an argument we will sulk over it for not more than 2 hours. Also talking in a calmer way with a smiling face even if it is acting, post-argument has worked wonders for us. We believe in actions instead of silence and we do not believe that time will heal everything instead we act and resolve."
