Annecy, France gave me a new perspective on how communities could successfully prioritize ecological health and I feel grateful that I got the chance to be able to witness firsthand the results of successful environmental science. Thanks Hi USA, for helping me to visit Lake Annecy, France! @hiusa

Itinerant Artist: Creative-in-residence taking a much needed train travel break since I have been traveling by @amtrak ten rides per 30 days rail passes most of the time since late May.
🚂 Twice to the Pacific Northwest (Washington and Oregon) and Whidbey Island, once to Los Angeles and Santa Monica, once to New York City, once to Boston, once to Denver with multiple stays in Chicago...
🚂 And all return trips as well! I often stay at @hiusa having done four of their 14 beautiful locations.
🚂 Safe, inclusive, community, new friendships, stories, growth, experiences, scenery, wildlife; and abundant creative and art ideas to explore further!

Chicago Day 4 | Ep. 9

Started the day making breakfast with friends from the hostel 🍳 → explored the Field Museum 🦖 → finally did the Chicago architecture river cruise 🚤🏙️ → and somehow ended the day at a rooftop sundowner with a bunch of people from AKOLA 😂

Of all the places in the world… an Akola meetup in Chicago was not on my bingo card 😭🇮🇳🇺🇸

Hostel travel really does lead to the most random days.

Chicago Day 3 | Ep. 8

One of those days where we somehow did EVERYTHING 😂

Started at the Art Institute of Chicago 🎨, stopped by the spot where Swami Vivekananda addressed the 1893 Parliament of Religions, explored way too much art, grabbed lunch and hopped on the L to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery ☕️

Back to the hostel for a meet & greet → Skydeck Chicago for the views 🌇 → celebrated my school friend’s birthday 🎂 → and somehow ended up walking the Chicago Riverwalk alone at night.

That last walk though… Chicago at night is something else!

Chicago adventures continues - Day 2 |
(Road trip Ep. 7)

Started the day at my hostel and spent some time figuring out the Chicago “L” 🚆, stumbled across some very confused-looking walking statues from Poland 😂🇵🇱, and made our way toward the lake for Shedd Aquarium 🐠🦈

Safe to say I spent wayyy longer in the aquarium than expected 😭
