Christie and I are beyond grateful for the new chapter we’ve begun with the amazing people of @okccommunity and the start of @capcitycoffee So many people share in the beauty, inspiration, and heart of all that’s happening, but special thanks and shout out to our friend Kyle Hix and @hixdesign. What an amazing journey we are on with our church family — it’s an all of us, all together, all for Him thing!!

We’d love for any of you to stop in and see us at Cap City Coffee or on a Sunday at OKC Community! God is on the move in our city!

Cap City Coffee will be throwing open their doors in OKC’s Uptown 23rd District for the very first time from 8am to 3pm on Saturday, October 17th, with all your favorite espresso drinks, matcha, loose leaf tea, and sweet treats from Cakes by Carlye on the menu.

Spend $10 or more on opening day and you could take home an exclusive grand opening t-shirt, but you better plan ahead because only the first 150 guests will get one.

Come early, order a pastry with your latte, and you’ll be able to say you were there on day one.

Cap City is fully owned and operated by Bring Life OKC, a nonprofit serving our city through multiple initiatives. 100% of our profits go back into that mission working to bring life to OKC.

Welcome to OKC, @capcitycoffee!☕️

Pictures don’t do this place justice, but that didn’t stop me from taking approximately 400. Add in the coffee and pastries, and I’ve got plenty of reasons to come back.

I know, me posting about coffee. Completely out of character. But a shop run by people who care about this city as much as I do? That deserves a little extra attention. Cap City is owned by nonprofit Bring Life OKC, with 100% of profits supporting their mission and others serving our community.

Their grand opening is this Saturday, October 17th, and they’re located on @uptown23rd next to Tower Theatre. You’re gonna love this place!

Big congrats to @quevbot and @savedd_by_the_belle on bringing this place to life. You’ve got something special here. Thanks for having me. Getting rid of me will be a separate conversation 👀🤝🏼

 Hix Design has been an incredible collaborator in making Cap City a beautiful space with intentional design and creativity.

As some of you know, I had polio when I was a kid. For those who didn’t know and have seen me walking, you’re probably like, “Ohhh, that explains the limp.” 😆

Because of that, I can’t really walk barefoot. It feels like I’m walking on rocks with my heel, so mocs were pretty much a no-go for me. :(

Then @hixdesign figured out a way to attach a basketball shoe sole to a pair of mocs so I could actually wear them.

And these beauties were beaded by master craftsman @jmurie075
