This, madame, is Versailles. Flaky, golden, and freshly baked—our croissants and pains au chocolat cooling down like royalty after a hard day's rise. Straight from our French patisserie course, where butter reigns and mornings smell like heaven. 👑🥐 . . . #FrenchPatisserie #CroissantLove #PainAuChocolat #BakingCourse #VersaillesVibes #GourmetGetaway #FoodieEscape #LeGargantua #CookingHolidayFrance

It had been so long since we made brioche on the Patisserie Course. We braved the warmth and baked traditional Parisian brioche. Buttery joy! . . . #Brioche #FrenchBaking #ButteryGoodness #solotravel #BakingRetreat #PastryCourse #dough #foodietrip #BakingCourse #pastryclass #LeGargantua #frenchvacation

This is what happens here when you leave us alone with butter, flour, eggs, cream, and sugar… Vanilla and salted caramel choux with craquelin, oozing with pastry cream and mischief. Can you spot the little toffee bits melting into the cream? It’s so warm here, even the pastries are begging for mercy 😄☀️ . . . #FrenchPastry #ChouxCraquelin #SaltedCaramel #VanillaDream #SummerBakes #BakingWithLove #PastryArt #LeGargantua #PatisseriePerfection

Represented last week on the French Patisserie course were: Germany, New-York, Iceland, Georgia and New Jersey. Troublemakers from around the world 😄. If these kitchen walls could talk, they'd still be giggling from the daily laugh attacks that came with our patisserie adventures. . . . #FrenchPatisserie #BakingCourse #PastryClass #CulinaryTravel #FoodieVacation #KitchenLaughs #GlobalFoodies #BakingFun #GourmetGetaway #SweetMemories #legargantua

2025 marks my 19th season of hosting cooking holidays.  Here, in my home and my kitchen in southwest France — and forever in my heart — women have been a constant source of inspiration. As a business owner and a mum, I understand how exhausting it can be to juggle home, work, cooking, shopping, children, pets... Life itself. That's why one of my greatest joys is giving my female visitors a chance to relax and recharge. Seeing them unwind and catch their breath makes me happy. And in return, I get to spend time with the most incredible people. They are funny, witty, ruthless or shy, shocking, colorful, outrageous or reserved. They eat cake and chocolate. They savor red wine. They drink champagne out of crystal glasses and beer straight from the bottle. They sing, they dance. They open up and confide. They cry, they giggle, they laugh out loud. They encourage and support one another, unafraid to be their authentic selves. They lick their fingers unapologetically — without Nigella's agenda. Who are those fabulous women who visited my humble kitchen? They are full-time mums, news presenters, air traffic controllers, stockbrokers, economists, doctors, surgeons, nurses, lawyers, financial analysts, cruise ship captains, movie producers, chefs, actresses, engineers, accountants, bakers, professors, archaeologists, dentists, psychologists, fitness coaches, event organizers, illustrators, weightlifters, electricians, medical researchers, physiologists, social workers, oncologists, singers, musicians, hairdressers, decorators, programmers, realtors, horse whisperers, military police, occupational therapists, models, business owners, writers, painters, dietitians, teachers, school principals, car mechanics, vicars — I’m sure I’ve forgotten a bunch! They have class, courage, and panache. They bring wisdom and experience to the table. I am so grateful for all the moments of connection, all the memories we share, and for the friends I’ve made along the way. I am so glad that my daughters grew up around them all. Here's to you, Ladies, thank you for the privilege! 💐 Marlene xoxo #internationalwomensday #womensday #girlpower #cookingholiday #bakingholiday #BakinginFrance
