Welcome back to Why HLGU Wednesday, where we highlight what makes Hannibal-LaGrange University a special place and why students choose to call it home.

This week, we’re focusing on HLGU Athletics.

At HLGU, athletics are about more than competition. Our mission is to transform lives and communities through Christ-centered intercollegiate athletics, helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally while competing at the NAIA Division I level.

HLGU offers a variety of athletic opportunities. Men’s sports include Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Wrestling, and Track & Field. Women’s sports include Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Volleyball, and Track & Field.

Student-athletes have access to excellent facilities, including the Mabee Sports Complex, weight room, fitness center, indoor practice spaces, and outdoor baseball, softball, and soccer fields.

Athletics at HLGU are about more than wins and losses. They’re about building character, developing leadership, creating lifelong friendships, and honoring Christ through competition.

Interested in becoming a Trojan athlete? Contact Admissions at admissions@hlg.edu or the Athletics Office at 573-629-3210 to learn more about opportunities, recruitment, and tryouts.

We are committed to helping students thrive in the classroom, on the field, and in their walk with Christ.

That’s why HLGU.
