Wow….just wow. I can’t believe it’s already over. Fort Payne has been some of the greatest years of my life and track career. Although I am sad this season has come to an end, I find myself overjoyed that I got to experience such great memories and hold in my heart something so very dear. I have had the best teammates, coaches, and support system that anybody could ask for and I’m so thankful for that blessing. I am so lucky that Fort Payne Track and Field has given me something that I will miss so much. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat. 🐾⭐️

Dax Varnadore, the QB for the Fort Payne Wildcats, signed to play QB at Mars Hill College. Dax played flawless football down the stretch for the Wildcats, who won 10 straight after losing their first two games of the season. Dax threw for over 2,700 yards and 25 TD for the Wildcats in 2024. Dax was flawless over the ‘Cats last 5 regular season games, completing 72 percent of his passes (73-102) with 17 TD, 0 INT for 1,029 yards in games at Buckhorn, Gadsden City, at Hazel Green, Lee and at Pelham.
Congrats Dax! We know you will make all of us proud! #FortPayneFootball #fortpaynehighschool #daxvarnadore #dekalbcountyfootball
