We are almost ready to reveal the Official Selection for the London edition of the OFN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival.

Before that, a quick look back at our first international edition in Paris.

Filmmakers and audiences gathered for one fluid night of queer cinema and conversation. It was the first time the festival stepped outside London.

OFN Film Festival Paris Edition announced its winners on 1 Nov at Christine Cinema Club. The night sold out and a second queue formed outside for possible free seats. French audience enjoyed the selection by Founder and Festival Director Lex Melony and the voting felt lively in the room. After the screenings people stayed for drinks with filmmakers. Festival Manager Hristo Todorov hosted the night with Lex and the London team including Festival Producer Matt Eberlein came to Paris to support the event.

OFN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival is an independent project. It is driven by Lex’s passion for international queer films and by the team working together on a voluntary basis. The core team includes Hristo Todorov, Matt Eberlein, Denis Kaduka, Igor Son, Debbie Del Rey, Alexey Legeza, Dramala Tina, Carlos Zanahoria and others, including pre-selectors and judges who contribute their time for the community.

Five awards were given. Four were decided by the international Jury team and one by audience vote. The film that won the Audience Award automatically received official selection status for OFN London 2026.

🏆 Best Cinematography
Hugo Margaron for The Sap Under Our Tongues, Dir. Kenzo Di Maggio
🏆 Best Performance
Nisha Emich as Mona in Before I Do, Dir. Gitika Buttoo
🏆 Best Director
Mélodie Cissou for Je suis avec elle
🏆 Best Short Film
Okay? Dir. Carrie Meyer Schrader
🏆 Best Fluid Story (Audience Award)
Thin Lines, Dir. Mickaël Yip

French audience showed clear community spirit and real care for strong queer films. It looks like Paris will become a second base for OFN and this could repeat once a year.

“There is always a way, if you truly willing to make something happen” said Lex.

Read the full festival coverage in our printed issue F*2 coming in November.
