This summer was nothing like I expected it to be. There were no big plans, incredible trips, or grand adventures. And yet, somehow, it became one of the most meaningful summers I’ve had.

I worked with PIMF @pimfmusiccamp as an Associate Director, taught extensively, and learned so much along the way about education and Arts Administration. I also got to celebrate two of my best friends as they married, finally started Manos a la Trompa, a project I had been dreaming about for years and I picked up photography as a new hobby, something that has brought me so much joy and allowed me to see everyday moments a little differently.

Looking back, I realize that this summer wasn’t about doing something extraordinary. It was about finally doing so many of the little things I had been postponing for years. The projects I kept saying “one day” to. The ideas I kept putting off. The things that made me happy. And I’m really proud of that.

Now, a new school year begins. Hopefully my last one with any coursework, and a very different one as I navigate being away from Roy. ❤️

So here’s your reminder, and one I’m giving myself too: keep dreaming, do what brings you joy, start that project you’ve been waiting to start, learn something new and make time for the things that matter to you.

2025 is gone and man it feels like a lifetime….
I learned, traveled, and laughed more than I ever expected. I also questioned myself and had to step out of my comfort zone more times than I care to admit.

I count my blessings every day for being free to do what I love, enjoying Roy’s company and incredible cooking , and having people around me who support and care for me.

May 2026 brings even more of everything beautiful life has to offer. And if it feels challenging, it means you’re growing. Happy New Year!!!

Aprendí, viajé y reí más de lo que jamás imaginé. También me cuestioné a mí misma y tuve que salir de mi zona de confort más veces de las que quisiera admitir.

Cuento mis bendiciones todos los días: por ser libre para hacer lo que amo, por disfrutar de la compañía y la increíble cocina de Roy, y por tener a mi alrededor personas que me apoyan y se preocupan por mí.

Que el 2026 nos traiga aún más de todo lo bello que la vida tiene para ofrecer. Y si se siente desafiante, significa que estamos creciendo. ¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

2025 was a BIG year of change for me, let’s recap:
- I graduated with my masters and started at manhattan school of music for a performance diploma
- became an usher at Carnegie Hall (I love my job !) and debuted in Weill Hall last May!
- Kept lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons downtown
- FOUNDED FIFTH ELEMENT WINDS 🥹
- purchased a new piccolo!
- got to meet so many amazing new friends and musicians thru msm and student orchestras/concerts I’ve played in
- moved to a new apt in Harlem and had a BIG life reset :)
- became an Emerging Artist for my flute maker @miyazawaflutes

here’s to moving forward and having an even better 2026 💓

Sorry to the Edwin Drood squad, I ran out of tags, but playing with y'all was some of the most fun I've ever had. Can't wait for another year of Music!
