Well, why not scoring the magic “400” (40x the 10!) twice?😮

Congratulations to Denise Rudingsdorfer for this exceptional performance on the last competition weekend of the German shooting league.

Her team "Der Bund München" is now with two more victories at the top of the southern league - and thus almost certainly in the finals.

At the turn of the year 2023, a new chapter will begin at H&N Sport Christian Hirschel (left) takes over the management of the company from Florian Schwartz. He managed H&N Sport for 13 years and is pleased to have found in Christian a successor who knows the company from A-Z: Christian was our production manager for many years. He will continue to lead H&N in the tried and tested way and expand the company at the premises in Hann Münden, thus also securing the 65 jobs in the long term.

Can slugs be used in a sub-FAC rifle?
Mike Morton tested our H&N Slug HP .117 in 13 grain for the Airgun Shooter Magazine to answer this question.

For the non-UK airgunners: sub-FAC means that the muzzle energy is below 12 ft.lb / 16 joules.

H&N slugs going massive!

We are pleased to announce a new projectile for .25 caliber enthusiasts around the world:
The H&N Heavy Slug .25

Expanding the weight options of H&N .25 caliber slugs, the new slug is designed for long-range tough game and predator hunting with powerful airguns.

The new "Heavies" will be available in diameters of .2495 and .2505, the weight variants will be 38 grains, 40 grains, 42 grains, 44 grains and 46 grains. The slugs will of course feature the new advanced hollow point ("T-Slot") design, which combines a large meplat and an optimized cavity. The T-Slot ensures reliable and controlled deformation - for a quick and humane kill.

Like all new H&N slugs, the Heavy Slug .25 was developed and tested in close cooperation with South African pro shooter, Airsmith and YouTuber Air Hunter Gerhard. In his latest epic video (shot in Utah), he shows us how these projectiles open up new possibilities for him when hunting with airguns.

But watch out: the video is especially not suitable for squirrel lovers.

H&N Slug Event at @kraleschietsport Netherlands

On Saturday, Gerhard and I were pleased to present the H&N Slug .177 and the H&N Heavy Slug .22 to the Dutch public. Our host Krale Schietsports gave us the opportunity to chat, and exchange information and ideas with the extremely competent air gunners of our neighbor country.
I would like to say thank you to the Krale team and to all the other helping hands for the perfect organization and execution of the event! We will come back!

BTW: The picture shows the team in the 50m indoor shooting range. Right before the first after-event beer...😉

We are excited to announce a new product for the airgunners around the globe: The H&N Heavy Slug .22.

The new H&N Heavy Slug expands the weight range of H&N slugs in caliber .22 and is designed for long-range hunting and target shooting with high power airguns.

The most important feature is a new hollow point design with a large meplat combined with soft lead. It provides maximum expansion and energy transfer after impact - for a quick and humane kill.

We offer the new “Heavies” in diameters of .217 and .218, and in weight variants of 34, 36, 38 and 40 grains. Of course, we will also add sample sets soon to make the tuning cheaper and easier.

The Heavy Slug was developed and tested in close collaboration with the South African Pro Shooter, Airsmith and YouTuber Air Hunter Gerhard, a renowned expert in airgun hunting and competitive shooting. You can watch his exciting new video about this slug on YouTube:

When a new product is developed, we also need to set the standards and thresholds for quality control.

Peter and I are present at trade shows and championships, conducting extensive interviews with hunters and competitive shooters, etc. We analyze the input we get and consider what performance a new pellet, slug or bullet have to deliver.

BTW: I shouldn't try to read without my glasses... 🤓

Today the @ssg_kevelaer_2005_ev visited us for an extensive pellets test. Kevelaer is the reigning German team champion air rifle and the favorite in the 2022 finals.

The test was conducted on our 10m indoor shooting range with electronic assessment system.

SSG Kevelaer trusts in the H&N Finale Match as their competition and training pellets.

The quality of lead pellets and slugs heavily depends on the quality of the raw material and the uniformity of the lead wire.

Our lead is from Germany, highly pure and very evenly alloyed with the required amount of antimony.

We pull the lead wire ourselves, as it is a crucial step in the entire production process. The diameter tolerances are continuously monitored, i. e. over the entire length of the wire for a coil.

If the deviations are too high then (you probably already guessed it) it's time to go back into the oven!🔥
