Three Hobart basketball players putting service into action! 🏀💜🧡

Brendan Mathey, Alex Moesch and Elvis Lloyd recently spent time at Soldiers Hill Cemetery resetting grave stones, mulching, and raking 🍂🍁🍃

The opportunity was coordinated by Mike Hanna ’68, the longest-serving athletic director in HWS Athletics history.

Thank you, Brendan, Alex and Elvis, for giving your time and energy to the Geneva community - and to Coach Hanna for helping make this connection! Our next two Days of Service will be held on 10/10 and 11/7 - look for registration in the Compass Times or in Saga! Go Bart!

Community and camaraderie as a foundation. Professionalism and grit as a mentality. Dreams into a reality as a way of life. Current NCAA coaches on staff is something we hold near and dear to our hearts. Our kids get developed by experienced coaches and mentors. At the same time they gain exposure to people who can changes their life with a single phone call. Over the last 17 years we’ve had the privilege of helping facilitate over 100 campers playing collegiate basketball. D1, D2 and D3. Some of whom who have then continued their careers professionally. They invest in us. We invest in them. Hand in hand. Step by Step It Up.

From WHWS Radio to calling the World Cup!

Congratulations to Tyler Terens ’16, who will serve as a play-by-play announcer for FOX Sports coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Terens got his start at HWS calling basketball and hockey games and hosting a weekly radio show.

Swipe to hear Terens call Hobart basketball vs Clarkson live in Bristol Gym in 2016.

And tune in to Terens’ first match on June 14 when Sweden takes on Tunisia! Person talking at podium
