Decided to play along with #10factsaboutme as a way to say hello. Here goes... 1. I was a shy, quiet child who preferred reading books to playing out with friends. I was called a “boffin” at school. I was picked on. Once a teacher even pulled me out of a class detention as she didn’t believe I could possibly be involved. It was humiliating.
2. My first pet was a guinea pig called Sarah. It was my favourite name, but I was still scared of her.
3. My sister @oliviagypsy used to call me Fat Eagle. I called her Balloon Face. We still love each other.
4. When I was 18, I lost four stone on Weight Watchers. At that time, there weren’t really any body positive role models that I knew of and I particularly hated my legs.
5. I studied English and philosophy at Sheffield University, then an MA in publishing at Oxford Brookes.
6. I launched my tattoo magazine @thingsandink about five years ago and it has allowed me to meet and work with some of my best friends. It has opened doors in my career that I never imagined possible.
7. I met my (now) husband @stan84 on @mysinglefriend seven and a half years ago. We got married just over two years ago.
8. I ran the London marathon in 2015 and raised more than £4K for @sarcoma_uk.
9. I had panic attacks throughout my 20s and still struggle with anxiety. I once had one so awful that I couldn’t see.
10. I love changing things about my body so I feel more in control of it. I like piercings and tattoos and I adore having pink hair. This has helped me become more comfortable in my own skin. So much so that I stripped off to be a life model for @artmacabre inside the @museumoflondon. .
