Working to inspire a new generation of leaders in Delaware!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

“i believe” that HOBY is one of the most beautiful organizations in the world. through every misstep, frustration, and grievance, we learned how to redirect, communicate, and truly listen.

there are very few places in the world (especially now) that care so deeply about making people feel loved, valued, and seen for who they are. currently missing my blueberry patch aka the most beautiful blueberries to exist. anywho now let’s keep changing the world, y’all. 🫐🌊🦋🩵🥏🦕🚙💙

P.S. 2018 ambassadors… you better know this song. 🫵🏽

If you haven't already, you can see my post about the amazing HOBY Delaware experience that I made right before this for more about my time there!

In summary, HOBY Delaware was very impactful for me being able to attend, learn some leadership skills, while having fun!

Now let's talk about the World Leadership Congress! WLC is a national confrence, a step above HOBY, where student ambassadors from around 15 different countries can go to represent their communities. We stay for a week in Washington D.C. and can connect, learn, and showcase our skills! After reviewing the questionnaire I turned in for my interest, I was selected as an alternate HOBY Delaware Representative at the conference. I would still be able to attend the conference; however, the cost is about $2000, due by July 3rd. The confrence spanning from July 25th to August 1st.

I am currently fundraising to be able to attend WLC, I have a GoFundMe up, and really would love to be able to attend. Any help is most appreciated. Plus, it's during my birthday season, so it will be even greater!

I believe what's for me, will come to me, and WLC came to me for a reason! Thank you to all supporters - let's make this happen!

Diya Rajan, Radhika Viswanath, Sierra Potts and Katelyn Tice (rising juniors) recently attended the HoBY Leadership Conference at the University of Delaware. We are very proud of these four exceptional students and thank them for representing Caravel!

There is something really special about watching young people realize just how much they have to offer the world. This weekend, I had the privilege of facilitating one incredible Navy Team @hobydelaware.

What stood out most wasn’t who talked the loudest or took up the most space. It was the quiet leadership. The thoughtful questions. The willingness to listen. The courage to share. The kindness shown to complete strangers who quickly became friends.

These students came from different schools, backgrounds, and experiences, yet they chose curiosity over judgment, humility over ego, and connection over comfort. They challenged themselves. They trusted themselves. They grew. Watching them discover their voices, step outside their comfort zones, and realize the impact they can have on others reminded me why I love this work so much.

The future is in good hands. 💙🦋🪁🐟🚙👖💛💛💛💛💛#HOBY #LeadershipForService #NavyTeam

This past week rising juniors Nicole and Violet represented Ursuline at the annual Delaware Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Conference. HOBY is national youth leadership organization. Students from around the state come together for a series of workshops, service activities, and facilitated conversations. Participants develop awareness of their leadership strengths and an understanding of their leadership values. Through these dynamic activities with their peers, students hone their skills and learn to recognize, amplify, and collaborate with the diverse strengths of others. As Nicole said, “We both learned so much about how to lead others effectively while also being pushed outside of our comfort zones. Both of us are eternally grateful for the experience!”

🌟💙✨ Grant Recipient Spotlight |-Building Future Leaders ✨💙🌟

A quick reminder 🙌 these grants were made possible by funds raised at our 2025 Auction and awarded in December… and our upcoming auction is what helps us keep this impact going! 💙

This week we’re proud to spotlight HOBY (Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Central PA)!

This grant helps cover the cost for a student to attend a 4-day leadership seminar 🌟 giving them the opportunity to grow, learn, and step into their leadership potential.

Moments like these shape futures. 💫

We are honored to support the next generation of leaders right here in our community. 💙
