The adventures of spring into summer - The work: appearing at conventions out of state and overseas. Acting and stunting in four feature films of different genres (more details to come) across three states, including directing DE NOVO. The play: camping, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, training, hooting, hollering. Also found the time to have my IUD replaced, but not sure what category that fits in. Just glad it fits in my uterus.

Six years ago, I let my curiosity get the best of me, and wrote a story. One year ago, I joined @hocastudio and pitched the science fiction to my creative partner @bythangho. Nine months ago, we presented it on stage together at @fantastic.fest, and were overjoyed to have @chroma_presents believe in it just as much as we did. Five months ago, we assembled a powerful team willing to follow us into battle. And this spring, I got to direct my first feature film. Updates soon. Coming 2027: DE NOVO

Seven years ago today, the music video for my song “Noah” (featured on my 2018 original music album From the Wild Sky) was released out into the wide world… it remains one of the most personally meaningful songs I’ve ever written, speaking to finding a way through in a time of uncertainty, upheaval, and even devastation, something we all experience more of with each passing year of life. It turns out there is no escaping the realities that life inevitably includes suffering and immense change as part of the deal ❤️‍🩹 We can only strive to do our best help each other through, even when (or especially when) it feels impossible to keep afloat. ⛈️🌊⛵️🌊⛈️ ==== The “Noah” music video was created as a @hocastudio production written and directed by @bythangho and includes featured dancer @___impavido___ , whose previous credits include “So You Think You Can Dance” (top 5, season 14). “Noah” was awarded the “Best Music Video” EMMY award in 2019 at the 45th annual Emmy Awards - Southeast Chapter 🏆 Visit my YouTube channel to see the video in its entirety 📽️ #noah #halieloren #pianomusic #stowaway #grief

A funny story I always share is how being a bad dancer led me to become a filmmaker. I used to be part of a dance crew with the talented @junior.cius, where I stood out as one of the worst dancers, back in 2012. However, I started out making dance videos for Junior and the crew. One of the first baby steps I took towards being a filmmaker. Fast forward about ten years, @thedutchied and I were searching for an actor who can do it all - act, dance, sing, so I gave Junior a call. Last week, we had the chance to sit across from each other at a memorable night organized by @on_setatl. Being nominated alongside such talented artists and celebrating it with my incredible team - who earned themselves 16 noms (most of the night), is an honor. Thank you @jhaneal_kelli and @martinakristian.co for believing in our community and setting a great example. Congratulations to all fellow nominees, I'm excited to see what you do next. And to my team, you deserve all the recognition in the world.
