When your wedding is a -literal- garden 🙌🏼 My favorite quote from this wedding was “You’ve been awesome - now put the camera away and join us on the dance floor” 😂 absolutely loved celebrating Cara & Leland! Such an epic wedding for Halee & Paul!! Every detail, from the decor to the dance floor playlist, was remarkable. I’m always close to losing my voice to Mr. Brightside, but having All The Small Things immediately follow made it a sure thing 😂 Wedding season has brought on a whole new feeling for me this year leading up to my own wedding. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed celebrating every couple I’ve worked with, but now there’s almost this feeling of “holy shit…that’s gonna be ME in a matter of months!!” So while I’ve gone into these recent weddings with an expectation for excitement, I’ve been quite surprised by the sentimental emotions that’ve been welling up as of late. And with that, if I have had the privilege of capturing your wedding, let me be the first to say thank you for letting me be a part of your special day. It truly is such a privilege. Documenting Nat & Khaled’s wedding was an experience I will never forget. If you’ve ever been to a Persian wedding, you’ll know what I mean. These folks know how to throw a party, lemme tell ya. From the astounding sofreh table, to the alluring knife dance, to the high energy dabkes, I’m convinced every single guest, friend and family of every age at this wedding could dance for days. And there was MUCH to celebrate. Nat and Khaled - you are so loved. As your photographers, we observed an entire day of rooms filled with real emotion, of admiration, of care, of community. You two clearly make your friends and family so happy to have you in their lives. Watching your parents, friends and family surround and embrace the both of you again and again all day with such genuine affection was truly heartwarming. As a parent, I could not help but hope my kids build this kind of community one day. Thank you to our wonderful and fearless leader Jennifer Hoffman of @hoffwellliving for designing and pulling off this incredible day, and thank you vendor team! Without you, there is no us!
