Can’t believe it’s this good 🔥 @armitagealehouse

I’ve waited 4 years to try this spot, and even with all that hype building this place was amazing. Deserves its flowers and might be the best (and definitely the most interesting) @hogsalt restaurant. My favorites -

🥬 Wedge salad with the thicc cut bacon, I might get this every single time I go

🍔 Wagyu double cheeseburger is on everyone’s top burger list, and I gotta agree it’s an amazing smash burger

🍛 Chicken tikka masala was not something I expected to enjoy so much at a non-Indian restaurant, can’t hate it

🍰 Sticky date cake must be had, I don’t care how full you are at the end of the meal you must get this dessert

Say what you want, but @armitagealehouse is hands down one of the my favorite restaurants in Chicago. And it’s a @hogsalt restaurant, so are we really surprised? 👀🍂

A crisp fall afternoon in Chicago, an iced tea in hand, the best company and some seriously good food. Honestly, what more could you ask for?

Here’s what we ordered:
🦪 Fresh oysters from Massachusetts
🥖 Naan bread with spiced lamb
🍤 Shrimp tikka masala
🐔 Chicken Pot Pie
🥩 Steak frites
🥗 Smoked trout Caesar salad
🍰 Sticky date cake

Scientific question: is carrot cake a salad? Has carrots. Carrots are vegetables. Case closed. We tested this theory at Monkey Bar for Jerry's birthday, along with truffle monkey bread, Wagyu meatballs, a crab-topped wedge, and a double cheeseburger. Then we went to a steakhouse.

Armitage Alehouse, Chicago

First vacation post from this past weekend in the windy city was brunch at @armitagealehouse

Located in Lincoln Park this place lives up to the hype. Think of being in 1920s London with British and Indian dining offerings.

We came one night for just provisions and dessert but the wait was over an hour. We ordered the famous sticky toffee pudding to go and ate it back at our Airbnb and let's just say we had ZERO leftovers. It was that good.

We came back the morning of our flight for brunch, and ordered too much, but was well worth it. Standout dishes were the English breakfast, oysters, and the chicken tikka with the side of naan. You can still order dinner items during brunch which is offered on the weekends.

Outdoor seating is also available! Something Chicagoans savor before winter hits. I will be thinking about this place and will return whenever we come back.
