An October afternoon along the Mississippi, taking in the architecture, the changing leaves, and the beauty of Minneapolis.

Made a stop at @holacoffeempls for Mexican hot chocolate before wandering along the river. Slowing down and appreciating the places and small businesses that give our cities their character.

I made a quick visit to one of my favorite cities for delicious coffee and a walk along the river parkway. In light of my 35th solar return, I was reminded that kindness and compassion really exist. And there’s still a lot of beauty and wonder left in this world.

I received the sweetest phone calls, messages, and gifts from my family and friends. I have immense gratitude for the people in my life, who continuously show up for me, even on my worst days. They inspire me to live fearlessly and with an open heart.

I promise to always do the same in return. 🧡

I’ve lived in Minneapolis for most of my life and somehow I’m still finding reasons to fall in love with her. 🥹 And I think that’s been one of my favorite parts of moving back home as an adult.

There are still coffee shops I haven’t tried, neighborhoods I want to spend more time in, random events I find out about entirely too late 😂 and parts of the city that make me think, wait… why don’t I come over here more often?!

And yes, the Realtor in me LOVES this because I get to know Minneapolis beyond houses and zip codes. But mostly, I just really love building a life here. Finding my spots, finding my people, trying something new on a random Saturday and remembering that you don’t always have to get on a plane to feel like you did something.

I think younger me thought “home” was just the place you were from, but adult me is realizing you get to keep choosing it. 🤎

Anywayyyy, I think Minneapolis solo dates might need to become a series 😂 Where should I take myself next? 👀
