⚾️ LET THE BALL TRAVEL!

One of the biggest mistakes hitters make is trying to catch the ball too far out front.

Great hitters understand how to let the baseball travel, stay behind it, and give themselves time to make quality decisions.

When you rush to the baseball, you limit your adjustability, struggle with offspeed pitches, and make consistent hard contact much more difficult.

Hitting isn’t about how quickly you can get to the baseball. It’s about getting there ON TIME.

The longer you can see the baseball and still deliver your best swing, the more dangerous you become as a hitter.

Stop rushing. Trust your swing. Let the ball travel.

Good hitters hit pitches. Great hitters make adjustments.

Open 45 with the Farm Board and Exit Velo Pro to reteach the pattern and feel how to load/corkscrew into the ground.

Double Tee to create extension through the middle of the field to help eliminate pulling off the ball while keeping energy linear.

I wish I learned how to load like this earlier in my career. Probably would’ve had a few more PUMPS AND DOUBLES. 🗣️🙂‍↕️🥲

🚨 YOUNG BASEBALL PLAYERS — STOP CHASING EXIT VELOCITY. START CHASING THE ABILITY TO HIT! ⚾️

There is a growing problem in baseball development where 14, 15, 16, and 17-year-olds are obsessed with hitting 100+ MPH on HitTrax and TrackMan.

Here’s the reality: Your max-effort HitTrax swing isn’t necessarily going to work against 95+ MPH with a scouting report. Take that swing and go face Jacob Misiorowski. See what happens.

I’m telling you this as somebody who has spent years playing professionally & coaching baseball.

STOP CHASING PEAKS. BUILD THE FOUNDATION THAT ALLOWS THOSE PEAKS TO HAPPEN NATURALLY.

⚾️ Proper mechanics and efficient swings
⚾️ Short, explosive, adjustable movements
⚾️ Consistent barrels through the middle with backspin
⚾️ Structured strength and conditioning
⚾️ Proper nutrition and recovery
⚾️ Consistent training with a knowledgeable coach

Your bat speed, exit velocities, and physical abilities should develop organically through proper training and TIME.

NOT EVERYBODY IS GOING TO HIT 100+ MPH. AND THAT’S OKAY!

Look at the Brewers, Guardians, and Rays. Not everyone in those lineups produces elite exit velocities, but they have players who know how to PLAY BASEBALL and help their teams win.

Don’t get lost in the sauce following people selling numbers instead of developing complete hitters.

The goal isn’t to win the HitTrax leaderboard. THE GOAL IS TO WIN BASEBALL GAMES.

Train properly. Get stronger. Eat correctly. Learn how to HIT. Give yourself TIME.

BECOME A BASEBALL PLAYER. NOT A CAGE ALL-STAR.

26 YEARS!! ❤️🥂

We were just babies when this whole adventure started… then came our babies, a whole lot of life, countless memories, adventures around the world, and plenty of craziness along the way! 😂❤️

26 years later, through all the seasons of life, our love has stood the test of time. And somehow, I love this man more with every passing year!

He’s still the one who makes me laugh, puts up with my crazy ideas (and usually joins right in 🤪), and is always up for another adventure!

We’ve built a life I wouldn’t trade for anything, and there’s nobody else I’d rather do it with.

Here’s to 26 years of US… and a whole lot more love, laughter, and adventures ahead! ❤️

1993 Topps Traded pre-rookie card of former @ncstatebaseball first baseman Andy Barkett. This card would likely grade a 9 or 10 (maybe a 9.5 for centering). There’s a Topps Bazooka version of this card as well. I think his true rookie would be his 2002 Upper Deck Victory card. #ncstate #baseball #teamusa #notforsale

I am grateful and extremely excited to announce I will be continuing my academic and athletic career to the Eastern State Titans First I’d like to thank God for making this possible. Planes, trains, trails, amazing food, Vancouver views, baseball games and a whole lot of memories packed into a few days. ❤️✈️🌲⚾️

Vancouver definitely showed off — the scenery, the trails, the atmosphere, the clean fresh air and some of the BEST food. Seriously… can we bring some of that food home?! 😂

But as beautiful as this trip was, the reason for it will always be my favorite part.

Getting to watch Isaiah return to the field after everything it took to get back there was such a blessing. 🙏🏼 To see him healthy, competing again and continuing to chase the dream he has worked so hard for… this mama heart is just incredibly grateful.

The championship series didn’t end the way we hoped, wrapping up in three games, but that doesn’t take away from what this trip represented.

He got back. ❤️
He got to play.
And we got to be there to watch him do what he loves again.

So we soaked it ALL in — Vancouver sightseeing, long walks and trails, ridiculously good food, fun baseball atmospheres, Eugene, and every minute we could get with him.

And then comes the part I never get better at… saying goodbye. 🥹

No matter how many times we do it, leaving is hard. But watching your kids chase the life and dreams they’ve worked for is pretty darn special.

Feeling very blessed, very grateful…and already missing him. ❤️⚾️

Keep chasing it, Isaiah. We’ll keep showing up. ❤️
