I wanted to change other people’s lives this summer, God wanted to change mine…

This summer I had the opportunity to work as an intern in the Dominican Republic at @mohcaribbean! I was able to see God move in ways I have never seen before. Not only in lives of the amazing people of the Dominican Republic but also in mine. I went to the Dominican to serve, not knowing that I would be served so much more. A very wise man once said “God puts the right people in the right place, at the right time.” Man oh man that quote rang so loud in my life this summer. I think God has a sense of humor and he loves to do exactly the opposite of what we think we need just to show us that he is so involved with every little thing we do.

Thank you so much to my family in the Dominican Republic.
I love y’all!

Great are you Lord!

This summer has been such a blessing. There is no other place I would have rather spent this summer than as an intern at Mission of Hope, building relationships with the staff and other interns and spreading the Gospel message while doing ministry in communities in Jarabacoa, La Vega and Santiago. I miss it already. Thank you to Mission of Hope for having me as an intern and thank you to the interns, interpreters and staff that poured into me this summer.

I have officially been in the Dominican Republic for a little over one month. This trip has opened up so many opportunities. And coming to serve others has also been a sweet act of kindness and reassurance that I am right where God wants me to be. I can’t wait for the coming months of the Lord continuing to use me.
“Lord here I am.”
