While looking while looking through some old family photos today, I was shown this image of my husband’s grandad’s VW truck piled high with antique furniture, from his days being an antique dealer.

I absolutely adore this picture! Firstly because it reminds me of the strong family history of the makes working as antiques dealers. Now on it’s forth generations.

It also makes me happy because of my love of VW vans and makes me think about the serendipity that we also now have our own retro VW van. 🚐

And finally I love it as it is the perfect reminder of the importance of photography and printed images within maintaining family history. Memories may fade but printed images will remain to continue telling stories long after those in them have passed. 💙

Please, print your photos people! 📷

A poor picture of what I’ve chosen to call “Prickly Acanthus School “, and some expository material. #marquetry #englishfurniture
