HealthTech Ghana Limited organised a weeklong training programme for radiographers at The Bank Hospital following the installation of the Hologic Selenia Dimensions 6000 Mammography System.

Heger Rajah, Senior Regional Applications Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Hologic, led the training, covering system operation, gantry orientation, positioning and compression controls, examination workflows, quality assurance testing, and troubleshooting.

The programme also provided practical experience with patient examinations, helping radiographers become more familiar with the system and its capabilities in breast imaging.

HealthTech Ghana Limited has installed the Hologic Selenia Dimensions 6000 Mammography System at The THE BANK HOSPITAL, further strengthening the hospital’s breast imaging and diagnostic capabilities.

The installation also includes the following Hologic technologies:

🔹 Hologic Affirm Biopsy Guidance System: Guides the biopsy needle to collect tissue samples from suspicious breast areas.

🔹 Hologic ATEC Sapphire Biopsy System: Uses vacuum-assisted technology to collect breast tissue samples for examination.

🔹 SecurView DX Workstation: Supports radiologists and radiographers in reviewing and interpreting breast images.

As we mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, these installations highlight the importance of advanced medical technology in supporting breast health, accurate diagnosis and the early detection of breast cancer.

Through our partnership with Hologic, a leading medical technology company primarily focused on women’s health, HealthTech Ghana Limited remains committed to bringing advanced healthcare technologies to Ghana and supporting healthcare providers in delivering quality patient care.
