This April marked 6 years since I bought my first torch. Here are some snippets of some of my journey made into a sick edit by my life long bud @benjammmin_
There have been so many ups and downs in those 6 years . I’m proud of the progress I’ve made and can’t get enough . I sometimes wish I was more focused in the time I’ve had to explore glassblowing , but try to give myself some grace because I was struggling . Not just in glass, but in life . I always tried to internalize my problems. Which led me to drinking heavily for 10+years . I always thought I was drinking for fun. In hindsight I was numbing it out.
I ruined many relationships, friendships and opportunities over the years. So 3 years ago, Sick of who I had become, I decided enough was enough. I haven’t drank since that day. It wasn’t easy , but was so worth it . I couldn’t have done it without the support from my family, friends and all of the people who checked in on me when I went ghost to work on myself and sober up . Thank you,I owe you everything ! ❤️🫘
