In times of polycrisis, most of us are holding more than we can grasp. Art Alchemy is an evening to give it form instead.

We’ll begin with bilateral drawing: both hands, one dot, moving outward to a live set by @harrysangbui. Then we slow down with neurographic art, softening the sharp edges of what we made and filling it with color. We close lying down, in a sound bath.

You don’t need to be an artist. You don’t need to share anything. You don’t even need to arrive carrying something heavy. Come to move a feeling through you, or simply to be present in creation.

Sunday, Nov 8 · 5–7pm · @holyground.us W Adams Blvd
$45 all supplies included · $35 bring your own markers

Come put something down on paper. Breathe, draw, and let it move through you.

Sunday evening, Nov 8, in the backyard at Holy Ground. We begin to ride the music as we move our hands, guided by breath and carried by a live set from DJ HoneyBun. As the night deepens, we slow down and round the edges of what we made. We end by sinking into a sound bath.

Nobody is making art, and nobody needs any skill. No page gets interpreted. Come to move a feeling through you, or simply to be present in creation.

🌙THE FLOW
- Breath and warm-up
-Guided Neurographic art session to live soundscape
- Closing sound bath
- Linger, browse the shop, head home slow

🎟️TICKETS
Introductory pricing for our first Art Alchemy. Limited to 20 spots only.
$45: all supplies included
$35: bring your own oil pastels and a thick black marker

🎒BRING
- Layers, since the yard gets cool after dark
- Clothes you don’t mind getting pastel on
- A water bottle

✨GOOD TO KNOW
- Doors 5:15pm, we begin together at 5:30pm
- Every part is optional. Sit out, watch, close your eyes, or step away anytime.
- A creative community gathering, not therapy or a substitute for it.

What if we experienced Ayurveda not just through what we learn, but through what we taste, smell, hear, and feel? 🌼

Join me and @astralab_la tomorrow evening at @holyground.us for a special Panchami edition of the Sensorial Journey, an exploration of the five elements and five senses through seasonal botanicals, adaptogenic brews, Ayurvedic self-care, and live music and sound with @raia_michaela .

In celebration of Skandamata, the Divine Mother, we invite you to bring a little yellow into the evening, in whatever shade or form feels right to you. Bring a journal, wear something comfortable, and come curious.

We’ll gather in the spirit of community at Holy Ground, a space in solidarity with 🇵🇸🍉🌿 and home to 🇵🇸 and SWANA voices through its bookstore.

Thursday, October 15 | 7–9 PM

Everyone is welcome. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Come as you are. Bring your senses. We’d love to share this experience with you.

RSVP through the link in bio. 🌼

Join us for the official book celebration of recently released, Discovering Elizabeth—a Palestinian-American story of legacy, courage, and the bonds between women.

It is the debut novel from Palestinian-American author Alexandra Khayat Dahl—timed to coincide with the American Film Market. This is more than a book launch. It is a gathering of storytellers, industry professionals, and community supporters who believe in the power of meaningful fiction—and in the urgent need to bring underrepresented stories to the page and to the screen.

About the book—inspired by true events, this dual-timeline novel follows a rebellious teenager in 1984 Queens and her great-aunt⎯a Palestinian-American doctor, aviator, and supporter of the French Resistance when it was under fascist rule.

For Palestinian-American readers, this is a great opportunity to see their history and humanity reflected on the page. For everyone else, it is a window into a story largely absent from historical fiction. With the growing demand for Palestinian voices in media and film, this novel arrives at a critical moment—and this event is a step toward bringing it to the screen.

A story that was almost lost—now being told.
Space is limited. Reserve your spot today. You can order your copy in advance to be signed or you can purchase at the event. (Limited supplies available.)

nourish your inner world as we enter the “subconscious realm” aka fall and winter 🍁❄️

SENSORIAL JOURNEY: An Evening of Ayurveda, Apothecary Samplings & Sacred Sound

Join Astralab x Rasa Veda for an intimate journey into the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda — the “science of life” — not just to learn it, but to experience it through all your senses.

🌿 Explore the Rasa Veda Apothecary — sample medicinal herbs, aromatic oils, and botanical preparations through taste, scent, and touch.

🌺 Sip a nourishing botanical elixir — an adaptogenic tonic crafted to awaken the senses and nourish from within.

🌀 Experience a Vedic voice journey unlike any other. Moving beyond LAs typical sound bath, we explore the ancient Vedic understanding of the healing power of the human voice — sacred sound that uplifts the spirit, releases heaviness, and invites us back into harmony. Via the most complex instrument on earth, the human vessel.
