Throwback to trainkng with Multi-Purpose K9 MIKO when she was young (roughly 2 years old). Following this we would go to have many adventures together and would prove to be a very capable K9 companion!

MKO passed away just over 3 years ago. I came across this old video while looking for something on my computer last night and thought I would share this old training moment with you.

Confidence is built one step at a time.

This isn’t just a dog walking across a railing.

It’s a test of obedience, coordination, communication, and stress management.

Every step requires Luna to think instead of react. She has to trust her footing, remain engaged with her handler, and work through an unfamiliar challenge without becoming overwhelmed. These exercises develop body awareness, confidence, and the ability to stay composed under pressure—skills that transfer directly into everyday life.

A confident dog isn’t born. It’s built through purposeful training, clear communication, and hundreds of successful repetitions.

Luna continues to make great progress, and we’re just getting started.

Coffee First ☕

POV: You’re trying to enjoy your first cup of coffee, but someone has already clocked in for training.

“Whenever you’re ready, human…”

Some dogs wake up looking for breakfast.
Some wake up looking for a job.

Happy dogs don’t just need exercise. They thrive on purpose.

Who’s got the better morning routine?

This Fall, I have the pleasure of co-hosting this incredibly stacked Combatives Collective ⚔️ with @fullspectrumwarriorusa
@jeremiah_blackbeard
@warpartymovement
@gthconsulting_rs

Although this is a private event, video highlights and ways to schedule further training will be provided. I’m excited to see what spin-off collaborations and subsequent training evolution emerge from this meet-up!

Protectors and those in need of protection inspired the framework for this training. For those who have a base in martial arts and want to expand into unarmed intervention and safety. Armed responses often overlook these principles.

Which, if needed, great unless you happen to be unarmed, your weapon system fails, or you make a mistake and get your weapon snatched. If you can't fight without a weapon you desperately need to be training in martial arts… like yesterday.

If you carry, there are scenarios where you should still be prepared and competent enough to respond appropriately. A true martial artist and weapons fighter/ protector should be confident in their hand-to-hand close-proximity fighting as much as they are with ethically taking a shot at a distance. We won’t leave out other important concepts like weapons of opportunity, things you probably aren’t being taught in the gym. 😉

If you want to be apart of training like this let me know and I can put you on the list for follow-up training events.

Thank you to all the ambassadors and BA’s who are attending, you have been selected for a reason.

LFG 🔥👏

@homefrontk9 Nellie is 6 months old as of this week & she’s such a fun little pup. Currently she’s learning some “marker words”. Impulse control / working for a toy as well as still working for her food reward. Creating a super clear picture for her & she’s picking up on it nicely!

HOMEFRONT K9 “Benelli” aka Nelli belly 💕 She just turned 5 months & we had a fun little session at the park today. Doesn’t seem like much, but worked on trusting me, she jumped off park set into my arms 🥺 Being held & swinging, she literally was so calm & rested her head on my shoulders. Just having fun, some luring, eye contact & exploring. She’s such a fun little pup to work with! Can’t wait to see how happy she makes her future family!

If you hate the IRS but love puppies, listen to this story!

Our non-profit @homefrontk9 is under attack from the IRS for a clerical error that has now turned into a fine nearing $7,200 and the threat of taking our home! The IRS is claiming they failed to notify us in a timely manner of the delinquent form submission for over 3 years bc of c0v!d staffing issues, but needless to say the interest on the fee shall stay.

We have a breeder who was doing a litter of puppies that were supposed to start training in support of our Special Forces families, but in order to handle this situation with the IRS we will now be selling the puppies to resolve this issue so we don't lose our house.

If you are interested in a Mal pup for your family this Christmas season, please dm me. We have 3 left and 50% of the proceeds are being donated to Home Front K9 Project.
