As someone who is autistic, has ADHD, and struggles with pretty severe social anxiety, twitchcon could have been incredibly overwhelming & I don’t think I’d have been able to go in previous years

But it ended up being one of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had - this was my first TwitchCon! & the biggest reason is because TwitchCon didn’t start in Rotterdam for me, it started before I even knew I was going!

I’ve been streaming for around 2.5 years, and over that time I’ve slowly built relationships with people through streams, Discords, social media, creator communities, stream teams and events I have attended.

In March, I attended DreamHack Birmingham on my own. I had no real plan and didn’t know what to expect, but I met so many lovely creators and spent time with people from one of the stream teams I’m in, MellowMoon. Since then I’ve bumped into many of those same people in streams, on socials, through the Twitch Women’s Guild, and in other communities.

The week before TwitchCon, I attended a creator event in London and saw some of those familiar faces again.

So by the time I arrived in Rotterdam, I wasn’t walking into a building full of strangers, I already knew people there that I could happily greet and spend time with! People I could sit with, people I could say hello to & that comfort made a huge difference.

The other thing I did was plan around my neurodivergence instead of trying to push through it. I planned my schedule in advance & I knew where the decompression spaces were. I importantly booked time to rest. I went back to my hotel room when I needed quiet, I made sure I ate, stayed hydrated, took my medication, and checked in with my boyfriend back home.

Did I miss a few things? Absolutely.
Did I leave some panels early? Yep.
Did I have moments of FOMO? Of course…& cried about it

But prioritising those things meant I could enjoy more of the convention overall.

For a long time, I thought successful creators were the people who could constantly socialise, stay out the latest, attend every event, and never need a break…

As usual, I didn't take nearly enough photos. TwitchCon EU was a beautiful blur of kind people full of value. I learned so much from not only the conversations on stage, but from the ones I had when a group of us took a moment to just be present with each other. It felt intimate in all the best ways. Thank you to everyone who made it such a wonderful experience!! It was an honor and a gift to speak with every single one of you. ❤️💜

Twitch Con 2026, you’ve been such a gift 🤎

Words cannot describe how much I’ve enjoyed this weekend so I’m keeping this short. Thank you to all the lovely souls I’ve met for making it such an amazing experience. Forever grateful to be surrounded by such creative and kindhearted individuals 🤎✨

Had such a lovely time at @dreamhack and @megaconlive this past weekend! 🌸

Spend a lot of time with my amazing friends (it was so lovely we forgot to take any photo’s so we only have 1 lol), got to work with great brands, live stream from the event, of course overspend at the artist alleys and my inner fangirl had her moment when I casually walked into TheSpiffingBrit 🧐🍵 (iykyk)

This was my first non Twitch convention and the first time in a long time I did not have back to back commitments and it was so refreshing!! Loved just strolling, exploring and hanging out with the most amazing people IRL 🧡

When I say this year was the year of socializing, please know it brought me WAY out of my comfort zone. 🪻

〰️ My partner didn’t attend this time (although @ssophology and I were nearly inseparable 🎀) so I was kinda forced to either sit by myself or go up to people and chat! I’m so glad I chose the latter.

〰️ Some of you shared wisdom and advice—some of you encouraged conversations regarding the challenges of being a content creator. Some of you just brought the vibes to another level! 🤘

If we crossed paths, I hope I left you feeling a little more encouraged, supported, and seen. 💞
