Welcome to the Corvi Signum... 🕰️✨
Join sixteen-year-old Ashlyn Threadneedle as she navigates a double life in @pippa.dunn.writes' stunning teen historical fantasy debut! By day Ashlyn works as a government messenger on the smog-steeped streets of nineteenth century London, but by night she escapes into a vivid dreamworld to join the Corvi Signum: a secret society of lucid dreamers.
We're so delighted to reveal the incredible cover from @honiebeam, and can't wait to share the book with you all in August. You can pre-order your copy today through the link in our bio. ❤️

It’s been such a busy summer I haven’t had a chance yet to post my review of this new paperback from the inimitable J.R. Potter. Time to fix that!

THOMAS CREEPER & THE PURPLE CORPSE is a hugely fun, intriguingly dark story that brings us back to Gloomsbury but never feels like a rehash of the first book. Into this inventive, crackling adventure, J.R. Potter has incorporated lots of the stuff I love about spooky middle-grade/young adult books (dark twists! new friends! new enemies! a library!) but takes the reader down a mysterious path to an new and uncanny place. Discerning readers will note the influence of John Bellairs’ spooky mysteries and, to me, Potter’s prose also brings to mind Roald Dahl and Daniel Manus Pinkwater. (A shout-out is due, too, to the gorgeous cover design by Honie Beam.)

Although this is a standalone adventure, it’s the sequel to the weird/dark/brilliant THOMAS CREEPER & THE GLOOMSBURY SECRET, and I’m hoping to read more Thomas Creeper adventures!
