I love how simple this sugar cookie recipe is! I also love adding in variations like coco, pecans etc! They’re fun for everyone to create and share! https://farmhouseharvest.net/old-fashioned-sugar-cookie-recipe/

“My homemade jelly overflowed on the stove (again). It smoked and stuck to the cooktop. It may never come off. The fire alarm went off for at least five minutes before it mysteriously quit on its own while I ignored it to ladle my quickly setting jelly into my jars for processing. That's par for the course for me. No doubt the same thing will happen next time I make jelly! I'm just bananas for preserving food at home and I don't know why.

But I do know that if you love something, you take the good with the bad.” @honinghuffacres

Our beautiful kitchen may be the room that needs the most work but it’s the room we love the most. We’ve got big plans including re-gyprocking the walls, putting in a walk in pantry, new (but old looking) lower cabinetry in a beautiful shade of warm cozy yellow, open shelving, and some blue accents (colour inspo in the last couple of photos). Our first job in the kitchen will be to tile the hearth pad and backsplash of the combustion stove to tidy things up a bit, and to remove wallpaper and paint the chimney breast. The actual renovation won’t be for a couple of years but we can make a start!

Breakfast at @honinghuffacres anybody? This space has all the charm! One of my favorite ways to grasp a room is in a photo I look at every detail. Take in all the pieces that create a space. #charmingkitchen #cottagekitchen #cottagestyle #vintagefindsonline #vintagedecor #vintageaesthetic #kitchendesign #countryhomestyle #countrylivingmag #countrykitchen
