For the first time in my 7 years in Korea, I actually did something for Chuseok. 🤍
Usually, I spend Chuseok at home alone. Being a foreigner, this holiday always makes me miss home a little more, and somehow I feel especially lonely during this time of the year.
But this year was different.
I spent Chuseok with a really special friend,
someone I actually met completely by coincidence one day.
We started our Chuseok in Busan in a very non traditional way with our favorite bread and wine hahaha 🍷🥖
And when we came back to Seoul, we went to a Chuseok festival where we got to try so many different Korean foods and experience some traditional Korean culture.
My personal favorite were the sweet rice cakes filled with sesame, sugar and honey!
And even after 7 years in Korea, I’m still amazed every time I see traditional Korean performances. There’s something so beautiful about seeing these traditions still being celebrated.
Maybe Chuseok doesn’t feel exactly like home to me, but this year it felt a little less lonely🤍

Maybe the best part of life is not knowing which ordinary moments will one day feel like scenes from a movie🤍

Thank you for capturing this moment @ernie.snaps

One second you randomly meet in a restaurant in Apgujeong, and the next thing you know, you’re in Busan together
again, for the second time 🤍

Why do I love sewing peignoirs so much?
For results like these 💜
I'm absolutely touched when you order them for photoshoots, for wedding preparations, or simply to feel like the empress of everyday moments 💜
Because, after all, why not?
Life is too short to wear boring clothes 💜
