🎉 Congratulations to Our Apprentice Butchers on Their EPA Results! 🎉

We’re so proud to announce that the following apprentice butchers have successfully passed their End-Point Assessments (EPA) and are now officially qualified butchers! 🥩🔪

1️⃣Gabriel Tirpescu from The Newt in Somerset - Distinction
2️⃣Jack Harrison from Hook & Cleaver - Pass

These apprentices have shown exceptional skill, determination, and passion throughout their training, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported them along the way—this is just the beginning of an exciting journey in the butchery industry! 🙌

Another kick in the teeth for small businesses. When we all start closing down we will know who to blame. EALING COUNCIL - against small businesses and independents.

Saturday night means homemade Nando's... my way.
Peri peri chicken, homemade potato salad, macho peas and creamy corn. Nothing overly complicated, just a handful of simple ingredients brought together with plenty of flavour.

Sometimes the best meals aren't about reinventing the wheel, they're about making food that has everyone reaching for another bite.

Which side are you stealing first? #ChefDeNerdie #Fakeaway #HomeCooking #PeriPeri #WeekendFood

Great quality chicken from @hookandcleaver

First proper cooking stream and I had to go special!

Slow-simmered bolognese with a 70/30 beef & pork blend ( thanks to @hookandcleaver for the great quality meat), red wine, homemade stock, parmesan rind ( for that natural umami), and a touch of cream to round it out.
Finished with a splash of red wine vinegar for balance after another 90 minutes off-stream.
Worth every second.
