A massive thank you to everyone who came through for our friends and family launch event at @hookedbrighton to do some Lino printing on totes, decorate some cute Polaroids, and listen to each others Vinyl collections!

We had such a blast and can’t wait to share our upcoming events with you lovely lot.

Expect fun alt events from live painting, bang trimming in a pub garden-turned-salon, and some great music events, among many more!

We are also going to be collaborating with other artists to bring you the weird and wonderful- stay tuned!

I'll be using more of my childhood photos for some cool stuff!

I’m Jesse, a chef with 20+ years in the industry, starting out in kitchens at just 13.
My cooking journey began with classical French training, but over the years I’ve taken inspiration from everywhere, especially Japan, Scandinavia and modern European cooking.

I’ve worked across fine dining, hotels, events, bistros and more recently, independent restaurants and creative food concepts.

I love the balance between serious food and having a bit of fun with it.
For me, it’s always about good ingredients, bringing people together, building great teams and creating food that people actually remember.

After a brilliant few years in Brighton, I’m now heading to London for my next chapter. 🥢🔥

New city. New kitchen. Same obsession with food.

I found this in my drafts from MAY and is so funny seeing all our old uni work, it feels like a lifetime ago. Lol I’m so behind on everything but now it’s September maybe it’s time to lock back in.

@_laura.c.m my extremely talented and gorgeous friend had her own evening of serving up the most beautifully thought out plates of food, back when the sun was shining and we could drink margaritas outside in the glorious Brighton sun.
We obviously indulged in all plates that Laura so elegantly crafted, being :
⭐ salmon crudo
⭐ tuna carpaccio
⭐garlic tiger prawns
⭐steak and saucisson tartare

Everything was so incredibly presented and thought out, @laura_cooksxx , you’re incredible.

Walk-ins and Bookings welcome (dm hooked to book!) its bank holiday weekend so why not come along for some food! Great drinks served by the Hooked guys too.

⭒INTRODUCING MY NEW FLASH SHEET⭒ Genesis, rebirth, an idea that’s sat in my head since my apprenticeship. An amalgamation of all the things that swirl in my brain.

Of course, all artists of any media take inspiration from the world around them. (Which I’ll be delving into more on the next post about this sheet mwahah)
But one pillar for me, will always be community.

Since Dead Slow moved over to Kemptown last October, I’ve felt community like never before. It’s like a high street in 2006 but with way more radical 2026 views (and a few street pirates but who’s counting?)

It really is a blessing to come to work and see so many familiar faces along the high street, so this is an ode to those business’ and faces and establishments. From the pints to the pizza, to the matcha to the sea, I love you Kemptown.
