First and foremost, I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to grow through the game of basketball. I can’t believe my last AAU season has come to an end.

This journey started 8 years ago as a 9-year-old playing on my dad’s travel team against girls older than me. Those teammates became the older sisters I never had, and the friendships I’ve made through AAU will stay with me forever.

A huge thank you to my first coach—my dad. Most people know him as a great trainer, but I’m blessed to know him as Dad. He’s been by my side through every high and low, and I wouldn’t be where I am without him.

Basketball has taught me resilience through every challenge. I’ve lost loved ones along the way, especially my grandfather, who always believed in me. I promised him I’d keep fighting and give him “les plus beaux paniers.” Every time I step on the court, I play with him in my heart, as well as the other family members I’ve lost. And as my Uncle Dave always said after every prayer, “Play ball.”

I’m also so proud to watch my little sister grow into an incredible player. Seeing her flourish has been one of the biggest blessings of this final AAU season.

Thank you to Duval Elite, my coaches, teammates, and everyone who made this last ride so special. Most importantly, thank you to my family for every sacrifice you’ve made to help me chase my dream. I love you all more than words can say.

Here’s to my next chapter. 🏀💜 #ᴀɢᴛɢ #aaubasketball #lastride
