7 years ago I was lost.
I had to walk away from basketball to come home, be a father, and handle my responsibilities. For months I was broken — no direction, no idea what was next.

Then I got a call from my brother Dennis. “There’s a kid I want you to help with.”Davion Wright”
In my brokenness, I put my pride aside and said “I got you.” I didn’t know it then, but God did. That one session lit a fire in me I hadn’t felt in months. I felt purpose again. Hunger again. I knew it was bigger than me. Bigger than basketball.

That moment became HoopSkills Factory.

Today — September 24, 2026 — we are starting YEAR 8 in Sacramento. Seven full years of serving Sacramento and the surrounding areas.
I’m forever grateful to everyone who helped build this — Dennis, Dante, Jordan, Rae, MG, Quincy, JT and everybody who has poured into these kids.Thank you for 7 years. Let’s make this next one our BEST year yet!

Ball screens generate offense
You can’t just use it - you have to READ it. That means analyzing the coverage as it’s happening, finding where the open spots are, and having the patience to let the play develop instead of rushing it. When you read it right, you can use your eyes to deceive the help and manipulate the defense to create the advantage you want.

Post touches come off movement, not traditional post-ups: Mobile bigs generate their post touches by rolling hard out of ball screens and dribble handoffs. While rolling they can seal their defender— getting position right under the rim before the defense can recover.

Traditional post-ups hurt spacing: Parking a big on the block clogs driving lanes and cutting lanes, so you can’t run a fluid offense if there’s no spacing or movement!

Post touches are created to exploit advantages: Teams use specific actions to get post touches for bigs and wings when there’s a mismatch or bad defensive coverage to attack. #dominateskills #basketballtraining #skilldevelopment #basketball
