Y FENNI - ABERGAVENNY It was a badly-kept secret…Abergavenny! We are officially moving into a new premises in Abergavenny. We have finally had planning permission approved and it’s all systems go at the new brewery/cidery! We are working behind the scenes at our new place just outside town. Abergavenny has been our home since 2022 and we are very excited to continue our mission of diversifying rural areas in mid Wales. Our ethos stays the same: we want to showcase the fantastic produce Wales has to offer by creating farmhouse beers and natural ciders that take the best from our Spanish-Welsh heritage. Keep your eyes peeled, we are almost ready for you! 🛠️

End of a chapter! As many of you will know, we have some exciting news to share. Sobremesa Drinks is moving! We are eternally grateful for what Talgarth has given us: a chance to build our business from a tiny seed of an idea in Adrián’s head, beautiful surroundings that made a hard job much easier, an opportunity to run a campsite (we couldn’t resist) and most of all an amazing community that has supported us through the good times and the bad. The Tap Room quickly became our second home (complete of course with a Tap Room baby) and we feel privileged to have shared that space with our friends from Talgarth and further afield. When we arrived to Lower Porthamel in 2021 we knew no one, and instead of feeling like outsiders to the rural world we were immediately welcomed. We are so lucky to have gained life long friends from our favourite place at the foot of the Black Mountains. As the farm is being sold and we are quickly running out of space, we are in the process of relocating to another farm in order to continue our mission of building businesses in rural Wales, diversifying farms and crafting farmhouse beers and natural ciders. Talgarth - it’s not an “adiós” but only a “hasta luego”! Diolch am bopeth. ESKERRIK ASKO! This weekend we have attended the Sagardoforum 2025 in Donostia in the Basque Country organised by @sagardoarenlurraldea We have been doing what we like the most: sharing, learning and meeting people from the cider community across the world, from the States to Chile! It was also incredible to see David @lesfartures again and Fran from @sidraviudaangelon .We visited them when Sobremesa was just an idea in our mind, and they have always been an inspiration and a model to follow and they are always there to support us. We’ll see you next time in Asturias! We have also managed to win a couple of medals at the competition at the @bculinary As part of this trip we have been visiting some of our friends’ cideries in the Basque country, who were visiting Wales a week ago. It was truly special catching up with them at their homes, showing us the tradition and passion behind the Basque cider but also seeing the new generations taking steps towards innovation @oiharte @ola_sagardotegia @etxeberriasagardotegia @altuna_sagardotegia @iparragirresagardotegia Special mention to @euskalsagardoa and Hazi for making it happen and for connecting two countries that have a lot on common. TXOTX! 🍎🍏

Congratulations to all the finalists at the @fooddrinkawardswales We are proud to have taken home this commendation in our category of Small Drinks Producer. There was so much talent in one room, and we were inspired by the amount of innovation happening across Wales right now. And a massive thanks to @stillsbranding for sponsoring the category 👏 👏👏 . We also had a fantastic day collaborating with the team at @wildhorsebeer (and finishing off with some well-deserved celebrations in the evening). We have a West Coast style IPA made with 100% British hops from @charlesfaram lined up for you, so watch this space 👀 . Finally, we couldn’t visit North Wales without stopping by @jackdaw and saying hello to the talented @nickrudge7 What a place! 100% Welsh produce paired with the finest drinks in the country. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Imposible elegir pocas fotos para resumir lo que fueron estos 10 días en Inglaterra. Fue una experiencia única, desde: Conocer el sistema Burton Union (único en el mundo en funcionamiento), recorrer más de 100 pubs en 5 ciudades diferentes, participar de nuestro 4to Festival de Cask Ale fuera del país representando a Argentina, conocer el famoso Festival de Londres de cervezas Craft, volver a la fábrica de Fullers luego de 6 años, ver una obra de Bansky , conocer en persona a miles de amigos que sólo habíamos hablado via mail y sumar amigos nuevos… Fue una locura donde aprendimos, nos capacitamos y seguimos reafirmando nuestro amor por las Real ales. Todo esto no podría haber sido posible sin la ayuda de nuestros amigos Owen y Jim. Gracias! Les dejamos algunos de los momentos que más nos gustaron y en Historias Destacadas está todo nuestro viaje. 📖 HAY FESTIVAL 2024 📖 . We will be open on the following days during @hayfestival 👇 . S O B R E M E S A - HAY FESTIVAL AT LARCHWOOD Larchwood Studio will be home to our faves Trigg Food serving up brekkies and suppers for the duration of the festival. In a beautiful pairing alongside Billy and Emma Trigg will be the bar, stocked and run by the awesome Adrian and Alys of @sobremesa.drinks who grow soft fruit for cider making right here at the farm. Adrian and Alys have also isolated their own unique farmhouse yeast from Racquety Farm itself and it has been identified by the National Collection of Yeast Cultures - how cool is that?! The bar will be open from 5pm on the 24 26 27 30 and 31 May PLEASE NOTE: Larchwood Studio is taken over for private functions on the evenings of the 25 May and the 1 June so we will be closed then.

Can you believe it...? It’s been a whole year since we opened the doors to Sobremesa Drinks and transformed an old barn into a Spanish style tap room. We’d like to celebrate our first year in Talgarth with a special celebration on Saturday 27th from 12:00 until late Adrián will be cooking up a paella for the occasion, with the first serving at 2pm and the second at 7pm. Pint + paella £12, so please book which slot you would like by sending us an email to hola@momacellar.co.uk. There's limited portions so don't miss this chance!
